  1. Altitude effects atmospheric pressure, atmospheric pressure effects the temperature at which water will boil. At an altitude of 2,895 meters, water will boil at 90° Celsius.
  2. If it's not a right angle, it's a wrong angle.
  3. I'm proud of my CDO (alphabetical order, the way it should have been all along!). I've actually been told that I am "borderline Aspergers" during various social events, lol.
  4. I lost track of just what he has and what he's selling. He started the thread saying he's upgrading an AMD A8 6600k which is a very poor performing computer. Now he's selling an HP Pavillion TG-01 that's only a year old ??? Language Barrier, I have to assume, and it's this one-year-old Pavillion that he is BUYING, not selling to replace that poor-performing AMD A8 6600k.
  5. That's roughly $295.51 USD. Amazes me that somebody would give that much for a year-old used desktop PC when $600 buys one "refurbished" or $820 buys one brand-spanking-new with TWICE the RAM. https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-TG01-DisplayPort-Bluetooth/dp/B0BR8LZJ5B/ref=asc_df_B0BR8LZJ5B/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=644617763239 If you have somebody paying that much for a USED desktop PC, take it and RUN, don't look back, "caveat emptor".
  6. "Zero Day" viruses/malware are the bigger concerns. Perhaps it would be useful/beneficial for a report on how effective these programs are at catching "Zero Day" vulnerabilities *before* the next definition update - it's "easy" to catch them *after* a definition update.
  7. I'm afraid that I am not the one to ask regarding "security updates" - I never install security updates. I run a contract business and use the LTSB version strictly to avoid "security updates" breaking robot controllers, camera vision optical inspection equipment, et cetera.
  8. I use Proxomitron without ProxHTTPSProxy.
  9. While it's not a night-and-day difference, every little bit helps when it comes to squeezing the turnip. I find 2021 LTSC to be slower than 2016 LTSB.
  10. Agreed. I think Commodo has HIPS but I honestly do not recall. (edit - I no longer use firewall or anti-virus - none, naughta, zip. I did use Commodo Firewall for several years and it was [been several years] very fast and efficient. But I grew to dislike even a fast and efficient "bottleneck" for my computer needs.)
  11. And is that better or worse than other 360Chrome v13.5 builds ???
  12. I read several of the "keep" arguments for the Firefox Wikipedia and I kind of see most as irrelevant. The vast majority of the "keep" arguments seem to come from what I would call an "activist movement" or "lench mob" mentality, subjective over objective. I don't see it as a total summation of "keep" versus "delete" - not if the "keeps" just keep saying the same exact thing over and over again, that's just "one" keep that paid a mob to show up and carry cardboard signs, misspellings and all. Not to be misread, it is disappointing to see the Wikipedia changelog for Chrome vanish, I used it OFTEN. But using it and objectively arguing that it should remain are not really one in the same.
  13. Nothing is stopping anyone from grabbing the most recent Wayback "changelog" and starting their own Chrome and Firefox "changelog" here at MSFN.
  14. Agreed! Operating Systems should not have "features" - NONE. If I want a "snipping tool", I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want a "firewall", I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want an antivirus "defender", I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want a "candy crush" kiddy game, I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want "3D" paint or printer apps, I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want "people" contacts right on the taskbar, I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want to "share" files, I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want an all-in-one sytem-level "Cortana" tracking, I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want to "sync" files, I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. If I want my Start Menu to feed me advertisements, I'll add it myself from available third-party apps. The Operating System should just "operate", bloatfree. Something like that...
  15. Nope, because whomever it was bragged about his 100th post. Then somebody pointed out that it only took THREE DAYS. My guess is that moderators stepped in, "warned him", and he voluntarily abandoned MSFN after the "warning". Who knows, as I wasn't here 20 years ago.
  16. Whomever it was hit 99 posts in 7 days.
  17. Too funny. A member from over 20 years ago that was only here for a week.
  18. I propose a 4th (the category of which I fall within) - 4) Your topics are read by the majority herein but replying only perpetuates the stigma of MSFN's transformation from what people claim it used to be, a claimed existence which predates my membership herein and I have never witnessed any strict adherence towards in any "topical" forum I've ever been a member thereof. Tangents and off-topics are always always always present on all all all "topical" forums. Something like that...
  19. While I feel your pain, so to speak, we have to abide by the moderator's consensus and trust that if the random posts violated MSFN rules, written or otherwise, then the every one would be banned for doing so. Since the every one has not been banned, then we have to assume that the moderator's are "okay" with the random posts.
  20. Is there a full list somewhere of just how many functions the experimental flag enables?
  21. Ah, read as to "why" it's deleted. I say yeah, delete Firefox's also. Perhaps "delete" isn't the correct word - edit it for release dates but axe the "changelog". Changelogs should be a developer's website, not taking up space on a public resource. Just my two cents.
  22. That doesn't make any sense, why delete it? Other than they both update so d@mn often (excessive IMO) that it's become a FULL TIME JOB just to keep Wikipedia updated!
