No, you don't need to put "; Comments" at the beginning. I tested under VMware, under my existing version of Windows and on a new install, but I had no reboot at all. So, it's really strange you need to reboot. Are you sure this is caused by KAV ? Maybe it's another application, isn't it ?

I think there is no reboot with KAV 5.0, only with KAV 4. You can try (not tested) this switch in the SFX comments: setup.exe /s /v"/qn REBOOT=Suppress"

Hi beppemito! I don't know if this will help you but I had a problem with .Net Framework too. Windows Update was showing me an update I couldn't install. That was because I had a registry tweak which disabled rollback. Search in your reg tweaks file ; if you have something like DisableRollback=dword:0000001, put it to 00000000. I can't remember where the key is actually located. Hope this will help.

My installation method for KAV Personal Pro 5.0.20: Extract files from the installer in a temp folder (use WinRAR) Add your key file to this folder SFX with this comments: ;Comments Setup=setup.exe /S /v/qn TempMode Silent=1 Overwrite=1 Silent install works perfectly !! And installer is smaller than the original one. I tried to make an administrative install point, but it doesn't work.

Translating the error message... Well, it seems to be an error with the spaces. - For folder names without spaces, the list file is opened an saved INTO the folder. OK - For folder names, the list file isn't opened, it is saved OUTSIDE the folder and its name only contains the first word of the folder name (before the space).

When I do the config manually, I mean the box you normally get when I open WMP for the fisrt time, I can enable the mini-player mode trough the task bar. So everything seems to be correct. Thank you Obliviator for your tutorial. But I think I have to register wmpband.dll only because I configure WMP trough my reg tweaks file. I'd bet Astalavista uses tweaks like me and that's why he can't see this option either. So, my conclusion is that it isn't WMP installation routine which registers wmpband.dll, but WMP initial config box. But how to enable WMP mini-player mode (still the same un-answered question) ?

I finally got it. It's not a registry entry. To add the option "Windows Media Player" in the taskbar, just register one dll : To disable the annoying box which shows you how to enable the mini-player mode, just add this key: But, does anyone know how to enable the mini-player mode ? Hi! I've slipstreamed WMP 10 (all files, no components deleted) and it works perfectly. But I'd like to view the mini-player (when you minimize WMP). When I right-ckick on the task bar, this option isn't available, even if I modify the TaskBarWinXP key to activate it. Any ideas ? I tried to look at some reg keys, but unfortunately no success. Thanks in advance
