so OCM is Odyssey? Odyssey is just 802.11x authentificator, it useless for solving real problems with wired network. u have router? its that thing with 4-8 rj45 (multiplexor, one rj45 WAN <-> many rj45 LAN)? if have - connect all ur machines to router, not directly. it mean that "driver" is NOT WORK. just not work. regardless his state in DM. find other driver. i dont know, how help. give me link to this sound driver, which work. i try look into. its not audio, its modem, and it need not for sound, but for phone, ie internet access via POTS... u sure that it need?

what it is? what browser?

yes, you can TRY your NTFS USB HDD, but ONLY if you USE patched esdi_506.pdr from bighdd or RLoew, or USE ahci.pdr from RLoew. ELSE you almost certainly will LOSE YOUR DATA !!!
-
select any 1 of 2 and just copy it into windir\system\iosubsys. then reboot machine. with work driver u must see next pictures: if u cant pass first picture (adapters list is empty) - then yes, ur driver is NOT WORK with ur card, even if no errors showed in DM.
-
i dont know... but think, that no.

good! good! i not check these drivers for ntfs flashdisk, but other users talk that it DONT work. anyway, other usable ntfs drivers just NO. so... stop! i good understand u now? u say, THIS driver WORK with Win98 for Intel 2200BG? are u sure? possible u need "wireless supplicant". read pm, please

there is only two drivers: UFSD (not NTFS only, but also Ext2/3/4 FS supported) and Paragon PNTFS (RO and RW variants). each is just one VXD file, and for run is enough just place file in windir\system\iosubsys. i not sure, that it was ok attach they here, but i can send to u in PM. ok?

run ipconfig and remember IP assgned for any machine in ur network. assume, that "machine A" have ip 192.168.0.33. then on machine A run ftp server, for sample, WarFTPD... google "ftp server for win98 9x". this machine A wiil work as server, and will provide ftp access to one or more own folders for other machines. connect to ur server by IP 192.168.0.33 from any other machine with any ftp client - TC/FAR/Explorer/any internet browser. now u can download and upload any files between machines...
-
yes, if u have high skill with old SMB protocols... but i recommend just use FTP ===== oh... ok try this: http://bust.narod.ru/drv98/_radeon-united.zip
-
it is look as com2, i think :) no driver needed...
-
SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro i think it is integrated with 2200BG, so no chances...

what "installation"? aida dont req "instalation", just "unzip-and-run". i have such result: ===== Driver Description Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller Hardware ID PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_8032&SUBSYS_00661025&REV_00 PCI Device Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller its better disable this device - his driver can conflict with other drivers ===== Driver Description PCI Ethernet Controller Hardware ID PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_169C&SUBSYS_00661025&REV_03 PCI Device Broadcom NetLink BCM5788 Gigabit Ethernet Controller try this driver https://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/2909/# ===== Driver Description PCI Network Controller Hardware ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_27018086&REV_05 PCI Device Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG 3B Network Connection no drivers, no chances: ===== Driver Description PCI Multimedia Audio Device Hardware ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_266E&SUBSYS_00661025&REV_04 PCI Device Intel 82801FB(M) ICH6(-M) - AC'97 Audio Controller [B2] try http://bust.narod.ru/drv98/_ac97.zip (lite version driver, but in russian language only) or https://oemdrivers.com/sound-ac97 ===== Driver Description Standard Display Adapter (VGA) Hardware ID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_3150&SUBSYS_00661025&REV_00 PCI Device ATI Mobility Radeon X600 (Acer) Video Adapter try https://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/3417/ or http://web.archive.org/web/20200928052920/https://www.philscomputerlab.com/ati-9x-driver-archive.html =====

why? i clearly say - run in 98 (NOT XP)! aida work in 9x w/o kex! ur actions with kex can give wrong data for aida! ok, wait, i go find drivers... think u need drivers only for these devices: Other devices: PCI Card PCI Ethernet Controller PCI Network Controller yes?
-
in real life 9x need just bit patches: - ESDI506.PDR from BHDD or TBP, and/or AHCI.PDR if ur machine work in ahci mode; - RLP; - NUSB; - "-p i" switch for incompatble acpi bios; - directX,. video and sound; all other - garbage. if u talk about this machine: http://www.notebookreview.com/notebookreview/acer-aspire-1690-review-pics-specs/ then machine look as fully compatible... get AIDA64 https://www.aida64.com/downloads run it under 98 (not XP!), select Report/Wizard/Custom/uncheck All but Devices (other get bsod)/Plaintext, save to file, compress with zip and upload here... then i try find really needed drivers for u.

what it is?
-
HWINFO (free), AIDA64 (trial)...
-
if not count windbg (aka wdeb386, aka kdbg), there is two more kernel debuggers for 9x - 386SWAT and TRW...
-
hmm. why just not replace file manually?
