  2. suspening is nice http://xona.com/2006/08/02.html my p180 came with rubber washes as someone stated before. they definetly help alot. i used the extra ones to put on all of my case fans, even my psu fan
  3. even better is that it displays correctly for the operating system its on. so far i tried it on 2000, xp, and vista, for each one it has the layout the right way and the correct boot screen.
  4. ya, np. once in a while every great company makes a mistake
  5. release to manufacturing aka-its finally f***ing done!
  6. it also takes longer to load a pic then for it not to
  7. well if that jump start didnt work, that means that its the psu that doesnt work. so i guess ya, return it.
  8. mine installs in ~15min if you dont include that stupid thing that takes forever when its doing its first boot. (doing performance checks or whatever)
  9. well i mean that some of my parts arnt even manufactured anymore. vid card, ram, monitor. and s939 is basically gunna be dead soon... so its not like i can upgrade my cpu anymore.
  10. good choice, by looking at some other ppls cpu's, urs should be able to hit ~2.8 with 1.4-5v on air. just remember to use a divider on ur ram
  11. do any lights come on at all? try jump-starting it with fans. http://www.overclock.net/faqs/96712-how-ju...supply-psu.html
  12. XP with Linux style booting would be rad. Text whizzing by only. that would be amazing
  13. dont use the sidebar, thats how its suppose to be. as for the tray, MS purposly separates system icons from user icons. as for the clock, the time itself is positioned correctly, the icons are an extra pixel up, it just looks better this way, if youve done any shell theming then you would have noticed this too.
  14. dual cpu is excessive for this, just get a dual core. 2 gigs will be fine. raid 5 is an excellent choice. u need help on specific parts at all?
  15. im sure he will dual core is a very nice improvement, much less lag
  16. only 1 of your points makes any sense, and that is the boot screen. the scrollbar is fine, the sidebar is fine, and that tray is how its suppose to be. just b/c you dont like how vista looks doesnt mean you should be spreading false news.
  17. please post here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=81987&st=0
  18. well u can us MS Word to save into pdf form...
  19. well for ocing an opty 170 is perfect, you have that extra multiplier which makes everything eazier, and you should be able to get ~2.7ghz with it.
  20. well u can buy a 500w psu for 20$ and one for 120$, so there must be a difference.
  21. link doesnt work... edit: http://itgeek.squarespace.com/journal/2006...board-crap.html
  22. well its just a newer vers i guess.
  23. i played a funny little trick on my comp teacher today http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysintern...BlueScreen.mspx
  24. well you will need to know coding, as we stated. just read that webpage the was given. you code will have to access some sort of a database or file to check if the username+password is valid.
  25. well ya he should be "researching" technologies and how comps are put together and stuff. but the specific parts he wants will be completely different. half of my parts from exactly a year ago are now obsolete.
