a card with video input... well there is the ati all in wonders but the resolution isnt too good, he may want to consider getting a tv tuner. does he know if he want to go intel or amd, im guessing intel since its main purpose it video editing.

well.. i just took a look at the major networking companies and found that offer official 64bit drivers. but some wireless adapters have the ralink chipset and there are 64bit drivers for the ralink chipset and many people have had success with it. http://www.ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm will work with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16833124126 here is an amazing list of adapters that will work with the ralink drivers, please note that for that linksys adapter above, you need to make sure to get the rev4 vers as the earlier versions do not use ralink http://ralink.rapla.net/

blowing the air ducts helped alot on my laptop a while ago when games were crashing, all due to overheating. get a program like motherboard monitor 5 or everest.

do u have any special hardware? all the basics will work just fine. that wireless card is whats worrying me tho.

check out linksys and dlink and belkin afaik the wireless drivers for x64 are not that good so you may have trouble with any card that u go with.

what are your temps? also check the even viewer for any errors

well now i have vonage and cable internet. vonage works but what i need to do now is to connect it to the whole house. but i am not allowed to disconnect myself from the outside line until vonage complets my number transer, which takes at least 20 days! my mom needs a phone in another room for her business immediety... now what am i suppose to do? i am thinking of rewiring the phone line where it comes into the house, and have it hook up to a single phone jack which i will place right next to that incoming line.

there are alot of hidden files, such as your pagefile which is most likely taking that space.

is there a way to keep explorer.exe running but to not have the taskbar? i have been messing around with litestep and i made a litestep taskbar, therefore i have no use for the windows taskbar anymore. the only thing i dont like about litestep is its desktop and its folder views so thats why i want to keep explorer running still. and i dont want to hide the taskbar, i just want it gone.
