  1. Everyone who wants to use Aeroglass should read through the entire thread starting with the first post. Most questions have already been answered. It is irresponsible to suddenly find out about Aeroglass, and join the discussion without reading through all threads, and posts about the subject. It must be incredibly frustrating for bigmuscle to answer the same BS questions over, and over again.
  2. Like bigmucle says, but if you don't want to see the debug window, move it to a second virtual desktop.
  3. I think then, it must be the theme you are using.I don't think so since I tried the default Windows 10 theme and NoelC's squareborders theme (colored) and had the problem with both.Which Windows theme are you using? I suppose you have tried several of them, though.
  4. I think then, it must be the theme you are using.
  5. In your themeatlas.png.layout file you can change size of buttons by putting captionsize=<a number, I use 12> at the bottom of the list. My example is CaptionSize=12. Here are all the original titlebar settings in case you accidentally changed yours somehow. Put in reg file, and merge.
  6. Do you have secure boot turned off (in UEFI?) ModernFrame is in Aeroglass folder, right? You have it in your registry according to this post right? http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/174668-experimental-builds/?p=1112346
  7. NoelC -- this is what you want. Follow instructions. It will work on any version of Windows 10. You can strip out everything, or pick and choose. It works offline. This has been tested. Basically if you use this on Windows 10 N Enterprise 1511, it will give you an LTSB. But, like I said, you can use it on other versions also. 8. As I see it, a better analogy would be you go to sleep on your own bed and wake up in it... then as you go outside, you notice it's not your neighborhood at all, anymore, and someone passes by you and says, quite merrily "good morning, Number 6!"... Of course, dhjohns, you're much welcome to present your perception of it, and I'm, in fact, glad to see, at least for you, 10 is not bad at all. huh? That is not analogy; that is delusion! LOL
  9. N.B.: My replies/comments are in bold, interspersed with NoelC's quoted post:
  10. On the download page? I don't see anything there and if you're talking about the file in C:\AeroGlass what do I do with it?You open notepad, and paste this into it.Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]"AppInit_DLLs"="C:\\AeroGlass\\ModernFrame.dll""LoadAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000001"RequireSignedAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000000You can save it as this "ModernFrame.reg" with the quotes to your desktop. The file name should then be ModernFrame.reg with no other extension after it. Make sure in View File Types you have Hide Extensions for Known Applications unchecked. Double click on the file, and answer all questions in the affirmative. Then restart your computer.
  11. I see what you speak of Noel, but I think it is more a function of postimage, because the actual appearance of the window on my monitor doesn't look like that.
  12. Classic Shell is still working for me on 10586 and aeroglass dev build #506. But if you only using Classic Shell just for taskbar blur then you better of using SetWindowCompositionAttribute for taskbar blurThis is how you do it.
  13. I think it may be some sort of Classic Shell update bug. I have never used Classic Shell. I love the new Start Menu. I have always used SetWindowCompositionAttribute to get taskbar blur.
  14. So let me ask you this: suppose that, one morning, you woke up to discover that the doorknobs had all been moved to the opposite edge of the door and were located five inches off the floor; that your stereo system had been replaced by a tinny transistor radio and your windows were now as opaque as the walls; and that cameras were installed to watch everywhere that you go in your home, what you do there and for how long -- would you "embrace" this "change"? --JorgeA That would suck, but it is doesn't apply in this situation. The change I am talking of is going to sleep in a shack, and waking up in a beautiful mansion. This is analogous to going to sleep with Windows 7 on my computer, and waking up with 10!
  15. That is why I use Windows 10. It is very secure. Sorry, I just have never ever subscribed to any conspiracy theories. I only stick to the facts, and what I know. It is just not logical, as Spock would say it, that one of the major software corporations in the world would jeopardize its very existence by spying on its customers. Do you know how fast the justice department would be on them if there were any truth in this spying conspiracy stuff? Pretty darn quick, that's for sure. So it isn't true.
  16. Sorry you feel that way. So far Windows 10 has only improved my computing experience.
  17. You should try this tool. The Windows Update Minitool configures most anything you want. https://yadi.sk/d/95eiVNgmj25M4Here is link to English language file. Just put in folder with .exe.https://yadi.sk/d/S8VdlJ5Kj2wX6
  18. There are a few glitches in the 1511 release. I have read about bitlocker issues, and I have noticed a few issues involving task scheduler, and recently I can't open device manager, or disk manager which is very strange. I suppose when MS re-releases it a clean install is in order. I really don't need device manager right now, and anything disk manager can do, I can do in powershell. But, I do like to have everything working flawlessly. I think they pushed the release a bit too early, at least to the general public. I DO EXPECT issues in insider builds, but not in public releases.
  19. You are in the wrong section. You need to go here, and read all about it. http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/180-aero-glass-for-windows-8/Don't just jump in at the end of a thread. This takes some study.
  20. Winaero.com has a nice little VBS file which works very well. No green buttons, no flashing windows, just opens the registry to whatever you have copied to your clipboard.
  21. This is a really good possibility. Telemetry is one of the best things about Windows 10. It really is what is happening with computing right now. We will see more, and more automatic communication between our computers, and the data servers, so information is available to us much more seamlessly than any time in the past. I read all the time of people who try to disable it, but it is a hopeless battle, analogous to trying to keep the tide from coming in. I am enjoying the telemetry, but then again, I embrace change.
  22. I don't think that you will get color captions on Modern Apps if you don't use UxThemeSignatureBypass.
