A really pretty solution has been made to "open programs" in 14279's taskbar:

Has been running 10240 now for some time and it has been stabile, but lately when I start up the welcome and login has been sort of instabile. It flickers and start over and it seems the login stars don't "take". The hole procedure take up to tree time longer than it use too...

Symbols downloaded the day after release, and unlike the previous Insider Preview, there are no lockups. It is working great. There is still the dwm incompatibility message, but watermark is not there, and everything appears to be running fine. Not for me! This (14267) and previous ver was really locking things up, sorry to say. I have it on a hp pavillion dv6544eo (laptop) btw...

Heh, the things you can do in the name of "security" are horrendous indeed. -Noel But think about it. If your phone was stolen and just swich id-unit the phone was accesseble (for the thief) how fun is that. As bay a new iphone all your data is saved safe in icloude. I think it's great...

Did an upgrade today to 14257. After a shaky start the welcome screen showed and an even more shaky login the desktop showed. The first adjustment went to Classic Menu and after a short wail it say it was ok. Second I start AeroGlass gui to fix the blur and color. Then it froze and that was that. Noting to do but a hard reset. Second try I went to Settings (went well) Update... then it froze! nothing to do but an hard reset. I did a 3:e try but the same; after 3-4 comands it freeces. can not even get to "uninstall last preview" Strong work Windows!

I'll have to check the CPU meter next time there's a big update to see how big the performance hit is, but I too have noticed that my Win10 system gets sluggish when installing updates. --JorgeA I have notis this too. I went into WI again, this time on a laptop. Meanwhile the download of 11102 I decided to get an adblocker. I notised that surfing was a bit slaggish, but the real suprice was that not one bit of the program was writen to disk, until 11102 was done ( still download). A bit chocked over that, must say.

Well ...I think this is a growing thing in the world today. More and more people only think of them self and want things for free as it would bee ones rights and OC no thanks....

I was't clear over your roules, jaclaz, I have supported bigmuscle since early -13 and OC I use a key on my machins, except for my windows 10 insider machine. Uptil mid dec-15 when it completly broke down, (since it won't update any more). After a clean install of w10 I decided to end my window insider roll, bc it did't make any sence to go on really. But under those 13-14 mounths I did't use any key and did not have any problems with BM watermark on my lower right corner ( for a long period windows watermark was there as well..... So whats your point, really?

Strangely enough there is not a single post (AFAICR) about someone willing to donate some money out of sheer love for the tool. jaclaz Let's change that....Happy New (develop) Year, Tomas!

What's the error code the Settings App is putting up? I actually used one of those recently to look up a failure to install a prior update and it turned up an article on how to fix it.
