  1. I love having a router rather then firewall software. ONLY what I want is open. Nothing more, nothing less. Firewall software tends to "damage" the connection by removing access to specific things and it's easy to mistakenly block important software from accessing the Internet.
  2. Sorry maybe I should explain a little lol. I'll edit the original post.
  3. As in for television I use ADSL for my Internet. I'll never give that up and there's no chance I'd ever get cable Internet.
  4. I can't decide which to get. Digital Cable and Satelite have the same channel selections. Digital Cable is similar to satelite, but is through regular cable line. It's almost as clear as Satelite as well. [Editted to clarify]
  5. OMG! XPertise lol it's crapping out hehe. Your current bandwidth reading is: 467.60kbps I'm at work on a T1 LOL Nevermind! It is me LOL.
  6. Sweet! XPerties you are a god! Even if you don't get it
  7. Nah it was different...but that one's kinda neat! (Apparently it cost them $6000/month to have the speedtest thing running) What a load of poop! lol
  8. I want my bandwidthplace     I used it with customers here at work as well because it was the easiest to use! dslreports.com have a couple I know, but I've found them to be highly inaccurate at times. BWP was ALWAYS right YOU HORRIBLE PERSON!
  9.       This was THE best most accurate speedtest on the Internet....and they've STOLEN it from us! OOPS! http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest I mis-spelled in the topic title LOL

Sorry guys, but I don't think 'irc.purplewire.org' works just right. We recently went through a name change, so you may want to try connected to individual servers. Also, faygue.purplewire.org is down for upgrades atm. Or you may want to let attempt a couple of times. It may be trying to access a server that isn't online like faygue*.
  12. Generally the Front Side Bus is slower. The quality of the chip is also less then let's say a Pentium 4.
  13. I think maybe you need to calm down and show a little respect for these people who are TRYING to help you. You don't need to yell and scream at them. I completely understand that it's very frustrating, but yelling is not going to get your issue resolves. When all else fails, call the manufacturer. Have you called NVidia?
  14. Oh cooool. I didn't know I could do that LOL w00t w00t w00t
  15. I still can't see it.........
  16. That's what happens when I click on the link. That may be why it's not showing.
  17. ... That'll be enough of those eyebrow raises out of you! I'm hyper today for some reason...
  18. Hahaha. Yeah. Thing is though, if I click "Mark all as read" it'll change it to 0. So...it seems odd that the cookies would be guilty in this case. I dunno. By clearing the posts it should be changing the cookie. meh! *looks at the cookies* RUN LITTLE COOKIES RUN! *continues to beat a dead horse* [Edit] P.S. I totally didn't see this forum. Sorries![/Edit]
  19. I refuse to believe this! The cookies are innocent! INNOCENT I SAY!  Hehehe I figured it was the cookies, but I'm at work and too lazy to clear cookies as I have a zillion passwords saved. I'll just have to MANUALLY search for the "*MSFN.org" cookies now GREAT!
  20. For some reason the boards aren't refreshing properly for me. Anyone else having this problem? Example: It currently says "5 new posts in 2 topics" yet there's only one new post since I was last here...
  21. I don't know if this is your problem, but I do know that SP1 slowed it down remarkably. Programs start up much slower and it starts up much slower. Especially if it's being run on a lower-end machine. Also check to see what you have in the start up. If you've got loads of stuff in there, you'll want to remove/disable some of them. Click on Start>Run>msconfig>Startup Hope this helps.
