  1. well, i dont have many options, i have a couple of clients, that are not willing to pay for SQL Server, and puting them on access wouldnt be apropriate, so i desided on mysql, besides, i hear its ok Oh it is a good program. I didn't mean to make it sound bad. What I mean is, it has an attitude. Things have to be absolutely perfect or it starts to get whiney. Coughing up errors etc. That's if it's not configured properly. Or the code for your database it sketchy. LOL
  2. I'm not a MySQl guru, but yes it should start up automatically. I've installed and used MySQL 4 times now. Generally it works fine, but this last time I'm have MAJOR issues with it. It's a very miserable program.

    w00t!

Well...it's nice. It needs work. We're paying $63,000 for it. One of the major things that caught our attention is, once it's fixed up (Cause we're doing quite a bit of renovating before moving it), it'll be worth $30,000-40,000 more if we sell So we'll spend $10,000 on it, live in it for a year or two, and sell it for more!
  5. w00t w00t w00t w00t w00t w00t w00t w00t w00t We just heard that our offer on the house we were looking at was accepted! I'm a proud new (and broke for the rest of my life) homeowner!
  6. I'm thinking it means as in Macromedia Flash But I could be wrong.
  7. I just wanted to take a minute to point a few things out to people.... A lot of the common issues we see daily on these boards, as well as several other sites on the Internet, can easily be remedied by using one of the 2 programs mentioned, or one of several other program available. I thought it might be nice to take a look at 2 of the most popular ones and rate which one works best. First off, no one should be without either of these programs. If you have an Internet connection, you should have at least one of these programs installed. What do these programs do? Well...there are several software companies out there who feel it is their business what you do with your bandwidth. What sites you visit frequently, what sites you don't etc. Some of them are much more evil then that. Some of them bury themselves into the registry, and as we've seen time and time again (Xupiter, Bonzi Buddy etc) are difficult to remove without damaging critical files to the Operarting System. The solution? Ad-Aware and or Spybot Search & Destroy I won't list every single program here, but these are the 2 that have been known to get the job done, and done right. Which one should you use? Both. Yes, I'm serious. I would strongly suggest you install both of these programs. They take up little space. Why? Because if one doesn't find something, the other will. These programs are not garuanteed to find every single piece of spyware, but they are the champions by far. In the end I would strongly suggest both. With the recent posts about issues that are related in general to spyware, I just felt people needed to be informed Hope this helps guys.
  8. You may also want to try Spybot Search & Destroy
  9. IGNORE ME! I removed this post cause I'm a retard
  10. http://www.lavasoftusa.com Give Ad-Aware a try. You may also want to try a Registry cleaner...give me a min to find it. MSNWar posted it a while back I think. I'll put it here as soon as I find the post...
  11. I think I would die laughing it turned out to be true. It would look good on them! Poor Martha Stewart.........

    msn 6

Are you getting any error message? Or does the game just not connect/come up? If you're using a firewall/router, it may very well be that the ports that are forwarded, are forwarded to your husbands machine. The only other thing I can think of, is copy the configuration files from your husbands machine over to the other machines. You may also not be able to play these games on a local area network.
  13. If we could trouble you for a little more detail please? What issue is it you're having? Connection? Stability? Looks like someone pooped on it? We're glad to help, but you're going to have to give us a bit more information on what exactly is happening please

  17. I'm a posting whore LOL. I've only been here what? Less then a week and already I've got a decent post count. Wow. I think I talk too much.....
  18. Excellent. No problem at all
  19. You're welcome. You should know for future though, all new computers should come with a CD. I'm not entirely sure on how it works there, but here in North America they *have* to come with a CD that can at the very least restore the Operating System. I *always* demand a full version CD. When I'm not building it myself I mean. But all OEM-type computers should come with at least a Restore Disk or Recovery Disk.
  20. You didn't get a CD? That's sketchy. Where did you purchase the laptop from?
  21. Depends on the CD you have. Is it a full CD? Upgrage CD? If it's a full CD, you should be able to boot from the CD directly into setup. Which is your best option. That will remove, format, install all in one shot. It's also the "cleanest" way to install Windows. I strongly suggest doing it this way. The only thing is, you have to make sure your machine is set up to boot from CD ROM, before hard drive.
