  1. Please try fixed version for search issue: http://www.startisback.com/StartIsBackPlusPlus_setup.exe
  2. Please try it on non-black background. Because I don't understand if it's cut or transparent. I'll try to reproduce your problem with network special folders. What about submenus? They're 2px extra height maximum.
  3. It would help if you provide clear (uncompressed 100% dpi) Windows 7 start menu screenshot with this item.
  4. Thank you. Version 1.1.7.1 http://tihiy.net/files/OldNewExplorer.rar should not crash this way.
  5. Topic has been cleaned from bumping and profanity. Don't take it personal and do not violate forum rules. If you need urgent product support, please contact support e-mail. If you beilieve your problem is common and others will help - open new thread.
  6. Crash dump is needed.
  7. OK tested it now, not sure if it's just me but when I do a search the search panel is missing, it just shows see more results and then nothing above that, all the other styles and my custom themes still work fine. Also a question, when using 'composited' bool where is it reading the properties that were Start Menu > Menus > Basic > KeyBoard:TreeView? Maybe it's custom skin related. Are you running one? When using 'composited' it reads properties from part 17 (NSCHost).
  8. Nice work mate, I take it you were not able to have this full glass because of restrictions in your present msstyles implementation, I noticed previously that some classes necessary to make it full glass will not be read from the msstyles if placed in the SiB styles folder, not sure if this is still the case or if that is something you can change. Why yes, it's full glass but search. It's now possible to use glass for app list parts in stand-alone skins with 'composited' bool set.
  9. ++1.1.0 http://www.startisback.com/StartIsBackPlusPlus_setup.exe New version with new skin for those who don't like white color. Your feedback is appreciated!
  10. Yes I don't think so
  11. This means some "registry cleaner" deleted entries which are required to launch metro apps.
  12. ++1.0.4 - Fixed Connect To not working (bonus: try to click it with Shift pressed) - Fixed multi-mon DPI applying issue - Fixed blank screen when you roll back Win10 with SIB++ to Win8.1 with SIB+ - Minor changes and new hidden features This update is pushed as automatical download to everyone.
  13. If you want app in Start menu, pin it.
  14. Checkbox does not prevent SearchUI from running. If you use start screen it will start & keep running.
  15. ++1.0.3 - Fixed Start screen not opening with auto-hidden taskbar This version is not pushed as automatic download if you have 1.0.2.
  16. Please provide a crash dump.
  17. Same as SIB++ of course.
  18. StartIsBack+ for Windows 8.1 keeps original button by default. Resource usage is the same.
  19. 1.1.7 http://tihiy.net/files/OldNewExplorer.rar - Fixed crashes Previous version sucked, this one should be better
  20. Yeah, so it is biased information.
  21. On my system, Classic Shell uses more RAM (+8MB), additional process (ClassicStartMenu.exe), reads more from disk (+1MB) and generally opens more objects, threads and handles in explorer.exe process. SIB++ on the other hand on Windows 10 can eliminate SearchUI process (-30MB of RAM) and reduce ShellExperienceHost RAM usage (-10MB). That's on x86; on x64 difference can be a bit more pronounced.
  22. ++1.0.2 - RTL fixes - 'Advanced Startup' option is properly named- Windows logo button on tablet always opens system menu(As in StartIsBack+) This version will be pushed as automatic download if you have v1.0.1 installed.
  23. Don't use 'Use libraries; hide folders' options as workaround.
  24. I actually signed up to say the exact same thing, love using SIB on my main desktop and have no problems with it. But on my tablet I've run into the same issue, I want to be able to tap or click the Start Button and bring up the SIB++ start menu, but use what registers as the Windows Key to jump to the Start Screen. It may seem like a weird use case, but I prefer the regular start screen just for quick tablet stuff, but using the SIB start menu for anything more complicated. AN option that separates a Start Button click/tap and the windows key would be very much appreciated as long as it's not too hard to implement. Would it work if SIB would simply disable its menu in Tablet Mode? That would make sense.
  25. Search works for me... although PC settings search results have vanished from both SIB and system.
