Some new stuff! http://startisback.com/StartIsBackPlusPlus_setup.exe - Self-repair: previously StartIsBack (if installed for all users) required reinstallation for each Windows build update. Now it automatically silently fixes itself - Debloat: StartIsBack now can defeat Redstone application prelauncher which starts exes for uwp apps you frequently use on startup (this technique was shameful even 20 years ago) - Some more stuff I don't elaborate on so Ivo doesn't steal it yet

You can remove search if you uncheck both 'Search public folders' and 'Search programs and settings'. As for scrollbar, so far your option is custom full system msstyles.

I'm afraid this issue is not easily resolveable as without functionality restricted by SpyShelter SIB cannot function. I don't understand why it doesn't work only in Firewall version and only in Better compatibility mode. Try persuading author into contacting me to discuss whitelisting or my efforts to avoid being broken by SpyShelter.

Sorry for the trouble. Please try uninstalling app with checkbox ‘Remove settings and license data’ and reinstalling for current user, not all users.

I do have working `W8` start screen and `W10 beta` start menu, however, they won't be released. The guts have been cut in Redstone and before that they were incompatible with newer live tile formats.

StartIsBack does no more and no less than invoking '%localappdata%\Packages\windows.immersivecontrolpanel_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Indexed\Settings\en-US\Classic_{D4690CFE-6A59-4BAB-BFF7-9ED0D083E798}.settingcontent-ms' for example. Why this fails is unfortunately unreproduceable here. Is there anything about it in Event Viewer?

I can't reproduce this behavior, unfortunately. That's something screwed up on search side. Can you open this items with Cortana search?

Well installer can't write to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{c71c41f1-ddad-42dc-a8fc-f5bfc61df957} subkeys. Please try changing ownership of keys and subkeys to yourself.

That's unheard; try uninstalling StartIsBack first.

It should still work if you don't have FILLCOLOR property.

Explorer should not restart, if you see it crash, please provide a crash dump or info. I'll try to fix other things, maybe I've screwed up colors a bit, naming skins will help.
