Dark Magic 3.6.8 changes:

It’s there if you enable compact mode

Styles work (and worked) differently depending whether they're used as system ones or SAB styles (you're not supposed to place them there but everybody did). You have to figure out how to shove StartPanelComposited into style set for the system.

Perhaps DarkMagicLoaderX86.exe was removed by antivirus, fighting with that now

Maybe you're in dark mode? Because IDM uses custom dark mode. Is window context menu acrylic? Or maybe you're not admin and it's elevated? Or hidden from taskbar? Observe DebugView output when launching app.

You do Not w32 apps, explorer Seems you have MicaForEveryone, that's not for everyone

Do you have multiple displays? Which is the layout?

That's curious, how do you launch those apps? IDM 6.41 and AHKUX/AutoGUI seems fine here
