  1. Can you post the contents of WINNT.BAT file please.
  2. typo=typing error Have you got folders named as $oem$/&S$/Install as you have typed it? Or are they named $OEM$\$1\Install as they should be?
  3. Is your setup.cmd file actually in your Install folder? As per the path stated in your WINNT.SIF? Is this a typo or have you named your folders like this? I have also read that not capitalizing WINNT.SIF when naming it causes probs.
  4. Have you also got a WINNT.BAT file in I386 folder?
  5. What folder are you putting your WINNT.SIF file into?
  6. @Soulin Bit hit and miss asking it for a Vol descriptor! Surely better to look for the ident file which should be omni-present.
  7. Wont cost him any money if he follows my earlier post. There are at least 5 apps on Hiren's BootCD that will recover partitions successfully.
  8. Get RyanVM's switchless V7. 20.4mb
  9. @MCT In my experience the "average punter" we supply to cannot copy & paste never mind find an oeminf file and edit it or del it! You wouldn't believe some of the "tech" queries we get. Drag and drop with the right mouse button is rocket science dont you know!
  10. Instead of putting all that on a readme that a customer will just delete, we put our company logo and all relevant info like that in the oeminfo. You could do a combination of the two, a readme on the Desktop and some permanent inf in the oem info. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/oeminfo.htm
  11. Yes, of course its possible. READ the guide here http://unattended.msfn.org/ Download the deploy tools and have a go. You will need an image of XP though or a CD.
  12. Search then. And read the posting rules before posting.
  13. Wrong forum - this is unattended windows.
  14. Hirens Boot Disk (CD) V6. http://62.253.162.19/hiren.thanki/bootcd.html Any number of utils on here will recover a del partition. This is basic stuff and not the end of the world. Its about 36mb total. PM me if you cant find a d/l site. I have it on a bootable iso image.
  15. 1. DVDDecrypter to rip, the simplest and best, also free. http://www.dvddecrypter.com/ 2. DVD2One to resize. http://www.dvd2one.com/ 3. Nero to burn. http://www.nero.com/en/ PM me if you need any help/advice/settings. Be glad to help.
  16. Seems a lot of work, Asta, unpacking and then repacking for the sake of a 1kb text file! (It would work tho s'pose).
  17. I want to use an SFX to create a file to install my rarreg.key to my Winrar folder thru' RunOnceEx. I can make the archive and do the syntax for the RunOnceEx ok - but I have 2 quick questions: when specifying the absolute path in the SFX settings can I use %systemdrive%\Program Files\WinRar (which will make the uA CD more versatile) or does it have to be X:\Program Files\WinRar ?? Also because there's a gap in Program Files does it all have to be enc in quotes? Have used the winrar help file util but there's no mention of %systemdrive% usage. T.I.A.
  18. @tap52384 You can slipstream SP1 (that is SP1 for Office 2003) into an Office 2003 image on your harddrive - and then put the resulting slipstreamed Office 2003 image onto your unattended cd - usually in $OEM$\$1\Install\Apps\ folder and install Office as you would all your other apps, by calling the install from either a batch_file or using RunOnceEx. Please read fully: http://unattended.msfn.org/ http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/office2003_slipstreaming.htm
  19. Cant advise on 1st issue as dont use it but re 2nd issue, cant you move that to your cleanup cmd instead?
  20. Para1. Yes. Find out which installer it uses and "search" preferably in the correct forum = "Application Switches" http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=80 Or run the installer with the /? switch to see a list available. Also SEARCH the main website! http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/innosetup.htm http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/installshield.htm http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/nsis.htm http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/wininstall.htm http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/wise.htm Para2. Search for your switches in correct forum. Para3. Yes they can all be reg this way, so get all your other stuff together first and then post back for reg help with some more details. No problem. Tell us all what you're using, RunOnce or Batch_file.cmd? Edit: not gone mad, must have posted simultaneously with Incroyable Hulk!
  21. @rmarsico = bet your glad you asked now! @un4given1 & radimus = you are both clever and educated guys who both contribute enormously to this forum with quality posts, but 'tis the season of goodwill and your rantings at each other are enough to dissuade a junior poster from ever posting again. Please calm down gentlemen.
  22. Why dont you slipstream SP1 into your Office 2003 CD1 first? Then put the slipstreamed vers on your uA XP CD? http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/office2003_slipstreaming.htm
