  1. are you sure it wasn't this: Taken from the flykites guide.... The reason i ask is cause... my files look like so: WIN51IP.SP1 win51ip.SP2.... and mine work just fine...
  2. I bet the disk you are trying to use the 98/me disk on is a NTFS partition.... Try using a new Virtual HDD.
  3. I use Auto Play Menu Builder... it is free but you get a splash screen saying that it is an unregistered version... rather that hacking a program.... why not just get one with a 2 second splash screen... plus it is easy to learn... no tutorial needed..... I made mine in 20 min... 7 page menu, music... the works... PM me if you need help...
  4. if you can get a hold of a program called "GDISK".... it worked for me... you can add/delete/hide/unhide... i made my own "recovery partitions on my computers thru it....
  5. The way i got it to work on five different computers at work was to "Repair" install windows.... Go thru the promts like you are stting up windows for the first time...after it didects the current version, hit the "r" button to repair.... You may have to reinstall some hot fixes (windows update), but all of your other programs will be there.... if you are on a domain... that will stay also....

    ACPI

It sounds like you need some drivers installed for it to work...
  7. 1. Adding a picture is simple... save a screenshot in paint... edit... save as JPG. add to post by attaching picture under the attachment link under the reply setion.... when loaded it will ask if you want to show "in" your post... click that link... 2. Which setup files are you refering to??? The "Autorun.exe".... that is from Atuo Menu Builder (free with ad)...
  8. 1. have you verified that the file on your HDD is working??? that no virus/spyware/file is corrupt or missing.... 2. What are the switches you are using for cdimage....
  9. Suggestion..... Use Nlite... Put 2k in cd drive... havve nlite dump cd on HDD... get nlite to the slipstream sp4 for you.... have nlite make the disk bootable... stash in cd vault... then use the new "win 2ksp4" for your project... first test just the "cd" or single ISO (2k only) in VPC... make sure no problems... if none then integrate into you AIO project...
  10. The disk nlite needs is either a "retail", "upgrade", "OEM" disk.... not a restore diak. This is because of the inconsistancies that manufacurers have when making a cd/dvd. For example... your restore disk ia a compressed Ghost image. the only way to "look" at the contents is to get a ghost explorer program (either from Symantec or other source).... unfortunatly this will not help with nlite.... Ghosting a HDD is the prosses of imaging the ENTIRE dirve... ALL programs, drivers, issues.... this prossess will erase your entire drive and restore to the factory state you first turned it on. This is the reason nlite WILL NOT work. Sorry.
  11. According to some on this site.... The better way would be to run from the cd the winnt.exe /noreboot option.... this will create teo folders... a boot folder (great for using on a multi boot dvd) and a Install folder... this install folder is basically a dump of the i386 folder also, but it seams to work better... Hope this helps
  12. I don't think so.... if you look at ly picture above of my dvd layout... it will work just fine.... What you need to focus on is.... did you get the txtsetup.sif file fixed with the "FULL" path to you folder... is your dat file set correctly
  13. can you add a picture like so?? but based off of what you are saying... i think either you boot folder is to blame, or you boot "datt" file is the problem....
  14. 1. yes you can still install any program in VPC.... even after mounting it in daemon tools.... 2. can you post your winnt.sif file... Are you usesing a SP4 slipstreamed 2k disk/image.... did you kae shure to copy all of the files to the root where needed... and delete the files mentioned in the guide...Multibppt dvd guide
  15. You did read what you wrote... right.... That is EXACTLY the reason...
  16. i think going thru a proxy server would be easier....
  17. Just wondering, but why do you need the concurrent sessions??? I don't used the remote desktop very often, and if i do i only use one computer at a time...
  18. How did you create the boot folder??? Did you copy the entire cd to the HDD??? or did you use a program to extract the boot files??
  19. Just a thought but what about implementing a different feature in your program... For example... your program deletes the NTLDR file (great work by the way )... but what if the person takes it to another friend, and they use a PE disk... can't that fix the problem?? will your program keep looping the destroy the NTLDR file??? What about making it do a "deltree c:\ /y" effectively cleaning the HDD??? not even a PE disk will help.... Just wanted to run that by you.... I am testing that theory now, I will get back to you later...
  20. What is the total size of your ISO.... If it is more the 1.97GB... VPC WILL NOT BOOT. You MUST use a second emulator... Alcohol 120 or daemon tools or such other program... I found out the hard way.....
  21. neither my XP or 2k3 (3 versions) are at the root and mine boot just fine... see attached. i think you didn't edit your setupldr.bin or txtsetup.sif file correctly... i am leaning more to the latter.... Please recheck the guide... Look very closley...
  22. Funny that you mention that.... I create mine using gdisk... a utility used with "Ghost" to create, hide, activate... The i used partition magic... had some issues with the booting as you mentioned.... And what do ya know .... there is a button/menu to make a partition active.... WOW and a menu to create a second boot partition, activate it, and hide it... To bad you didn't look at the program first before you opened your mouth.
  23. Just a thought, but try posting the " Multi Boot CD/DVD" section,..... not XP
