  1. Quick system restore fixed the problem. Auslogics registry cleaner made the system unstable. Thank you for the reply.
  2. Found solution at http://www.neowin.net/forum/lofiversion/in...hp/t721020.html
  3. During testing I hit Tools - Advanced - Restore Media Library in WMP12, this deleted all media from the library. However I am unable to figure out how to recreate the library. How do I do this?
  4. I have flash installed, and java etc. but I cannot playback media content from youtube, break etc. any ideas?
  5. Althoguh the mouse annoyingly now disappears out to the right this solved my problem after a reboot! Thanks a million for your kind help!!
  6. Yes, that did not resolve the issue. Its strange that im able to change to a higher resolution only when i open and close the lid (windows set to: do nothing). Then windows is set to single mode and I can set 1920z1080.
  7. Oh I see. The Samsung 40" LCD is a TV, it has no drivers. Its connected with HDMi. Its recognized fine as a Samsung LCD with 1920x1080p resolution when the laptop LCD is disabled. To disable i have to open and close the laptop LCD lid. Before I do this the Samsung LCD can only be set at the max resolution supported by the laptop LCD as they are cloned and both recognized as active. So the problem is when i bootup my system (using remote ir. laptop closed) I only get 1280x800 (max resolution for the laptop lcd) resolution as a small box on the center of the samsung lcd.
  8. Yes. I have the latest CCC (ATI official drivers). They do not have any info whether they support win7 or not, but seems to work. p roblem is that I have to Open and Close the lid on my laptop for the laptop LCD to be disabled (single monitor mode). This way win recognices only the Samsung 40" and enables max resolution 1920x1080p. In Vista I can have separate resolutions.
  9. I have my HP laptop connected to my 40" Samsung LCD with HMDi on a ATi Mobility Radeon HD3400, latest official ATI Catalyst (9.1) driver. I mostly use the samsung LCD without opening the laptop. However when win7 boots it boots to max resolution of the laptop LCD and centers as a small screen on the samsung LCD. If i open and close the laptop (force single mode) I can change screen resolution to the desired 1920x1080p. In vista this is done automaticly. Highres for the samsung, lowres for the HP LCD. How can I resolve this issue?
  10. Is there a way to have the windows media library update without playing a new song/video to add it to the library?
  11. Is there a way to "pin" the Downloads dir to the start menu where Music/Pictures etc. are located?
  12. What is the reg entry to delete to remove the vista language bar?
  13. Did not work Seems there are more folders that have this issue and it seems kind of random :/ strange!
  14. Within my "Downloads" folder (and subfolders) I can all of a sudden not select all (edit menu, select more files by mouse nor shift/ctrl plus mouse click). I can only select one file at a time. How come? Edit: Also with checkbox thingy on, I can only select one file.
  15. Happens at my computer also, folder views tend to reset/change all the time, depending on content/folder levels etc.
  16. I'm experiencing the same although only occasionally, very strange... Have not yet found out as of why this is nor if there is a way to resolve, my best hope is for an update to fix this issue. Edit: What background is that on your screenie by the way, very nice one -I would like it.
  17. Running on laptop I normally use the "power saving" mode by clicking tray icon. Does this apply ONLY on battery or also on AC? Meaning if I select "power savin", will performance be reduced also on AC or only when i disconnect the power cord?
  18. Hmm sounds strange, but thanks for the heads up! I'll double check each time i run cleanup from now on.
  19. Is it possible to have the sidebar always starup as closed (only desktop items shown) at windows startup?
  20. Agree. This is probably not a typo. However it is still very poor Norwegian in the activation dialog
  21. Exactly the same in the Norwegian Windows Vista. ('Systembeskyttelse' translates to 'System Protection') I also noticed very poor Norwegian in the Activation dialog. This would probably only be interesting for people who know Norwegian, however this is clearly directly translated word by word, causing a somewhat weird sentence.
  22. Works fine, only I personally dislike that there are no progressbar nor advanced options.
  23. Hmm, where do I set this username/password? They are on a WORKGROUP.
  24. Did not help What do mean by tight security? It seems like the XP machine tried to "logon" through an account that has no rights .But I have only my personal Admin account on the Vista machine.
