  1. I saw the post above mine. The images are still not displayed there ("Posted Image")
  2. The images still doesn't work. You need to open them directly. Why don't just change the hosting site?
  3. I couldn't test anything else yet but I've also noticed that some messages are displayed in Japanese. Then I checked the language of shlwapi.dll... and it's Japanese. It seems that BlackWingCat added the JPN file to the ENU version of the kernel
  4. Thank you for all the information I asked about it because I want to automatically add new lines and remove duplicates from those files, and in order to do it I need to merge such divided lines into one (for each entry). I'll try it and let you know if any problems occur.
  5. @Mim0 You can download some of them (unfortunately not all) through the Wayback Machine. 6. Good news I've finally managed to find out what was causing the crash when BWC ntdll.dll was added to UURollup. "Srvsvc.dll" from WB's KB2508429 was the culprit. Now it should be possible to really switch to BWC kernel (kernel32.dll/ntdll.dll and other kernel .exe files).
  7. My hardware is: - monitors: main Compaq P1220 (CRT) + second Samsung SyncMaster 2043NW (LCD) - graphic card: nVIDIA GeForce 6600 - motherboard: ASRock A55 Pro (FM1) - CPU: Athlon II X4 631 Both monitors use only DSUB ports and are connected to the same graphic card (the LCD one through a DVI converter as the card has got only 1xDSUB + 1xDVI).
  8. In the past I just used PE Explorer to manually translate all strings. I don't know of any better method but if someone does then I'll be very thankful if you could share it. Translating the strings manually is very easy, just quite time-consuming Edit: By the way, there won't be any new weekly version of UURollup today. Only minor changes were done during the week and I also haven't had enough time to prepare and test it. I've been working on a new daily daily though, this time trying to incorporate several new files from BWC kernel.
  9. Usbvideo.sys from XP will not work in 2K. There are unfixed dependencies related to ntoskrnl.exe (use Dependency Walker to check it yourself).
  10. I have found the real reason to cause the problem! This is too strange to be funny. The broken fonts are caused by connecting a second monitor 1. When the second monitor is disabled in Display Properties: 2. As soon as I enable the second monitor: I just want to ask: What the hell? I'm guessing that there might be something wrong in the graphic drivers. I'll try other ones and report the result... but the problem seems to be more complex though. Even when only one monitor is used the fonts are rendered like in 1) in Firefox & K-Meleon (Gecko based browsers) but in Opera and IE they are still broken, no matter whether the second monitor is enabled or not. They are broken in Maxthon (Webkit) too. They are displayed always correctly in Chromium & Qupzilla (both Webkit).
  11. There is a trial version of Windows 8 Enterprise available: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/jj554510.aspx
  12. I'm sorry for a late answer. I've been busy with downloading the remaining Windows 2000 updates from M$ servers as long as they are still there @bluenote Thanks for your interest. As you're using a French version of Win2k normally you're not allowed to install other language versions in your system. Of course it's possible to forcibly install them but doing so will make parts of your system change into the other language, ex. if you decide to install USP5.1 in your system then most of it will probably be in English after doing so. In order to install USP5.1 (and all other English unofficial updates) you need to: 1) Unpack it. 2) Go to i386\update. 3) Open update.inf. 4) Change LanguageType = %LangTypeValue%to LanguageType = 0x005) Run update.exe and install the package. You're saying that you installed UURollup without installing UR1 before. As you've already mentioned in the PM it's the Global version which you installed which, being much less intrusive then the English one, will probably work without it too. Still, having UR1 and UR2 is recommended. On the other hand, you're saying that you've got almost all M$ official updates from Windows Update installed which in most cases would mean that UR1 is among them. Anyway, the most important question is whether you want to translate UURollup (ENU) into French or just want to use the English packages in your French system.
  13. Here you are. Use the second link This is a temporary URL.
  14. @blackwingcat The newest Chromium 21 (SRWare Iron) crashes on start. Have you got any idea what the problem is about? The problem happens with both your kernel and the WB kernel.
  15. Tried but it doesn't work. The files seem to be completely removed from M$ servers. Direct links are dead too. I haven't checked WU yet.
  16. All help is very appreciated Fortunately all hotfixes by request (HBRs) are already downloaded (5000 files) B) The problem is with some of the removed security updates for other languages, especially less popular like ARA or HEB
  17. @Charlieb000 .NET Framework 4.0 can be installed but doesn't work. Only very basic applications work while all the others which use .NET 4.0 functions crash. At the moment it's quite useless
  18. The biggest headache is finding the removed updates in all languages (25 files for each update) If someone would like to help me download the remaining updates so that we'll have a backup copy of them on a different server please send me a PM.
  19. Are you saying that you're setting nLite to English even though the system itself is Portuguese?? It's a bad idea. From my experience nLite won't be able to "see" many settings, ex. many services' names are different, etc. In the past I tried to do this with a Polish version of Windows and nLite couldn't detect the components properly. In one word, you should set nLite to Portuguese when modifying a Portuguese Windows.
  20. @jvidal Explorer09 is right. You should try to extract the archive (rootsupd.exe)
  21. @blackwingcat Yes, it was mixed with the WB kernel. 1. IE6 + WB kernel32.dll 5.0.2195.7154 + shlwapi.dll 6.0.2800.2015 = no problem 2. IE6 + WB kernel32.dll 5.0.2195.7154 + shlwapi.dll 6.0.2800.2016 = bugs I'll try to check what happens with your kernel32.dll.
  22. @blackwingcat It was an IE6 based system. The icon problem persisted after reboot. I had to replace the file with its older version to fix it.
  23. For more information about the SkyDrive problem please read last posts in the RyanVM topic. In short, SkyDrive doesn't allow downloading large files without having a Microsoft account. I can't really do anything about it and there doesn't seem to exist any good alternative to SkyDrive at the moment. I hope you won't mind having to create an account there This affects only downloading of test versions because stable versions can be still downloaded normally (and you can choose one of three sources). At the moment I've updated the folders: - daily versions will be available only in 7z format (no SFXCAB archive included to save space) - weekly versions will be available only in SFXCAB format (in order to test slipstreaming) - stable versions will be available only in SFXCAB format - older versions will be available only in 7z format (to save space) I've found out that when you pack an SFXCAB archive to 7z you won't gain anything but if you unpack the archive and then pack the folders directly into 7z the difference is huge, ex. in case of UURollup (ENU) it's: - SFXCAB = 48 MB - 7z = 34 MB
