  1. you should change UnattendMode=FullUnattended to UnattendMode=DefaultHide to avoid error notice in gui setup
  2. start>run...>"cmd" x: cd i386 expand SETUP.EX_ setupORG.exe ________________ x - drive letter bla
  3. you could try this in your cmd file: ofcourse, adapt "Bin\AdobeReader6\AR6.msi" to your path... echo.Installing Adobe Reader 6.01 with speed optimization... start /wait Bin\AdobeReader6\AR6.msi /QN >nul if exist "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional" rmdir /S /Q "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional" ren "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins" "Optional" md "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins" move /Y "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional\Search.api" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\Search.api" move /Y "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional\Search5.api" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\Search5.api" move /Y "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional\EWH32.api" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\EWH32.api" move /Y "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional\IA32.api" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\IA32.api" move /Y "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional\HLS.api" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\HLS.api" copy /Y "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Optional\AcroSign.prc" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\AcroSign.prc" upper method will accelerate your acrobat reader's startup enormously...
  4. FileSystem=* will force the formating option screen to appear, otherwise setup would simply use the existing system without formating, thus leaving all the junk on C: drive... it isn't in ref.chm because it is too cool for it aaron?
  5. with [Data] AutoPartition=0 [Unattended] Repartition=No FileSystem=* he will have a format option by simply pressing Enter on desired (preselected) partiton... (D, L , ENTER sequence is not required) @Regielya: with this option, you insert CD and boot from it, when partitiong (after one minute or less) comes press Enter on an already selected C partiton, choose formating as a NTFS or FAT, confirm, and that's it! D, E & F drives will stay intact.
  6. ...just like mc'donald on anyone's who knows ANYTHING about food...
  7. here are some similarities between the two: - both are designed to make your computer run very slow - most of their code is useless crap - uninstalling any of them is a terrible pain - the screw up your recycle bin - updating takes years and offten cause trouble - they are very expensive - they are obsolete when compared to some free alternatives, in every aspect
  8. if i'd had an instance of norton av, i'd integrate it into my trash can, or even better, a door step for shoe cleaning, or wait, a spitting can, yeah!
  9. buhahahahahaha... c'mon, get serious... only thing you should start is taking Prozac to cool your nervs down with that symantec crap...
  10. maybe switching to some, for a difference good, non symantec antivirus helps?
  11. the real problem is that i'd rather have blaster or sasser on my computer than norton...
  12. and in that case use this: [Data] AutoPartition=0 [Unattended] Repartition=No FileSystem=*
  13. good motherboard is far more important than fast proc...
  14. @arablizzard2413: yeah but what is a prize difference between p4 and amd proc? "This setup is already knocking the socks off my friend's AMD computer he bought and built recently" -> THIS MEANS NOTHING, what are his specs? & i was talking about asus a7n8x motherboard, zilions time better than soyo
  15. i said it can't find it ON the win98 cd... i'm not that stupid... when installing the driver provided, windows asks for win98 cd...
  16. because it is intel and it is stupid? it requires additional package to enable dma, i think some kind of a application accelerator crap..
  17. yeah but is has one installed my win98 accepts the driver, but then asks for win98 cd, and then complains it can't find, i believe 'usbstor.sys' on it's own CD... wierd
  18. you should rather consider moving the winrar group under the accessiories subsection...
  19. yeah, but the xp has the support for all of them there must be some combination of a few drivers at least
