  1. Odd, RunOnceEx shouldn't be any different from batch files. The problem seems unheard of to me, so I can't help you. Sorry!
  2. This isn't a problem with RunOnceEx, but a problem in the application itself not allowing the /s switch for some reason. Do you still get the same error when you launch aaw6.exe /s from the Command Prompt?
  3. MsDosInititated="0" - Bad spelling! It's MsDosInitiated="0". Once you have made that change, the Fatal error - Internal setup data structures are corrupted (phase 0) message will disappear. It seems unlikely that a winntbbu.dll file is causing this.
  4. That's odd, /? worked on SP1. Probably best to wait for SP2 then
  5. Attached. I haven't tested to see if its dependant on anything though. powercfg.exe
  6. No definite date yet, sometime in Summer/Autumn 2004
  7. Can I have a look at what's in your [Data] section in winnt.sif?
  8. Hrm, it works now. It must have something to do with how I named the folder in my past attempts (which were Updates and Hotfixes) [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$" MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=2 BuildNumber=3790 [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\svcpack" [SetupHotfixesToRun] DX9NTopk.exe KB823182.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB823559.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB824105.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB824141.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB824146.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB825119.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB828028.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB828035.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB832894.exe /Q /O /N /Z mdac.cmd Q828026.exe /Q /O /N /Z btw GM, there's also a Standard Trial available free on CD, but this was ordered from the UK Technet site.
  9. hmm, it could possibly be a limitation in the trial version of Windows Server 2003 Standard. I'm going to execute a Hello World .cmd file from svcpack.inf just to make sure its working.
  10. If you're installing Windows XP from CD boot, then you need to rename unattend.txt to winnt.sif
  11. Refer to this page: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications.htm The first thing to find out is what installation package it uses.
  12. Other: Kerio and IPCop Router
  13. If you're really paranoid, stick with Kerio. I couldn't see any sign of Windows Firewall using MD5/CRC checking on applications that accessed the Internet. But I could be wrong.
  14. You're the first person to say it works! Most people couldn't, including me even with the version change. So, did you specify cat files in svcpack.inf, or replace files in the i386 directory with newer versions? Or did you ran the hotfixes on their own as explained in XP's version of the guide?
  15. Just so you know, powercfg.exe won't be available in Windows XP until SP2
  16. Most MSI packages have trouble being installed during GUI-mode setup. Try installing this this on first logon via [GuiRunOnce] or RunOnceEx
  17. Its the hotfixes for Win2k3 that won't install even though it does for Windows XP
  18. Even with that, it won't install the hotfixes. It happens to be lucky it works for XP even though it wasn't meant to. Tomorrow, I will try testing with cat files for Windows Server 2003.
  19. If you want to preserve existing folder settings, remove: [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU] [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags]
  20. Is it this? http://win2k3.msfn.org/themesxtra.htm
  21. ;Removes Folder settings and then increases the remembering of folder settings from 400 to 1000 [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU] [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU] "BagMRU Size"=dword:000003e8 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU] "BagMRU Size"=dword:000003e8
  22. Did it give a reason why the Installation ended Prematurely? Remember you can't make an administrative installation point on a retail version of Office.
  23. Windows 98 has no USB support. You will need to upgrade to at least Windows 98 SE to be able to use USB devices.
  24. Have you tried HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE rather than HKEY_USERS? It may work. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences
  25. Install .Net Framework 1.1 to use the winnt.sif creator
