  1. Has anyone posted info on how not to install Messenger, Movie Maker, and Net Meeting. There is a link on theis board for SP1a but that instance does not seem to work for SP2. many Thanks
  2. Hi all, I am having a problem that when i cut and paste or import image from file the image itself is blank after it is placed in the document. All i see is the thin border of the image and just blank white space where teh image should be. Any help will be greatly appreciated. FYI: i can view the image in word pad so i know the image is good. Thank you
  3. Morning all, Having an issue with the unnattended install being called from a batch file. When the start/wait setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unsttended.MST /qb- is called from a batch file it starts to install then quits about 10 seconds later. If i go to a command prompt in the directory and manually type the above command string then all works fine. Any ideas? Thx
  4. It did not give a specific reason, just that it eneded prematurely. One of MSFT's elusive error messages. The two versions of office i am using are volume licensed versions for enterprises.
  5. Hi all, I did not see a board for Office XP help so i am placing it here, sorry. Anyway i am tring to set up and administrative share point for Office XP to use the unattended feature but i keep getting the famous error message below, "Installation ended Prematurely" blah, blah,blah. I have tried the reg fix but no go.. I am running this from an XP desktop to my server share using Office XP Pro. Any help is greatly appreciated

  7. Yes this is for XP. The problem is that by default Simple File Sharing is turned on. I need to turn it off in a script before i make my NTFS permission changes to the said file. I know i can do it manually in Tools>>Folder Options but i need to automate it. Thx

Hi all, I am looking for a way to disable "Simple File Sharing" either through a script or registry hach after my unattended install happens as i have another script that uses Xcalcs.exe to set permissions on a certian file but the "Simple File Sharing" i found has to be disabled first to set the permissions. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  9. Good A.M all, Having an issue here with IIS 4.0 on NT 4.0 server. All of the sudden the inetinfo.exe is pegged at 100% this A.M . I have rebooted the server sevral times but after a while it pegs back to 100%. I have sp6a and all the latest patches loaded. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Brian.
