  1. Can you post here the contents of your winnt.sif ?
  2. Is it possible to reduce the setup size by removing the files from the components we don't need ? The guide i've read will explain how to customize the setup but not how to reduce it. I have around 170 MB left on my CD (if i use 800 MB medias), i was wondering if i could fit Office 2003 by a/ compressing (either with 7zip or RAR) b/ keeping the setup files of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook only.
  3. Which version are you using ? Since the version 1.10, the components names changed : http://www.k-litemegacodecpack.com/silentinstall_mega110.htm http://www.k-litemegacodecpack.com/silentinstall_mega111.htm
  4. Cheers, i found it. But it seems it removes OOBE completely and not only the video, right ? I want to keep the "enter usernames" step ...
  5. The video will be removed as well ? Physically removed from the CD, no (as you would expect since we're only patching a DLL file ), but no, it doesn't play anymore. Ahh, that's interesting then. I'll search that patched syssetup.dll on the forum right now
  6. Dang straight. I hate this board Granted, the ITE8212 chip is the main source of my ire. A word of warning to potential motherboard buyers, I've seen this chip advertised on other boards as well (Asus I think) - AVOID IT LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW. It's a PCI bus hogging piece of crap that causes my sounds to get static every time I do anything with a drive connected to it. Absolute GARBAGE. Like many onboard stuff which uses the PCI bus ... I got nuts like that with an Asus P4C800 Deluxe and its Promise RAID. Capturing a DV videostream from the Firewire to the drive(s) mounted on the controller made a saturation of the PCI bus. That resulted in several dropped frames ! I sold the motherboard and bought a P4C800-E Deluxe instead. Actually, the Intel RAID (ICH5R) depends of the chipset and not the PCI. It worked much better like that !
  7. I did that but it didn't work. Here is my oobeinfo.ini : [Options] NoIspPreconfig=1 SkipAutoUpdate=1 [startupOptions] Offline=1 Registration=1
  8. thanks Alanoll edit: ok so here it's an example, this will left only "play in winamp" and "enque in winamp" removing the winamp bookmark entry on the right click menu for files and folders Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Winamp.File\shell\ListBookmark] [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Winamp.Bookmark] Thanks for the tip Which key should i remove to suppress "Enqueue in Winamp" as well ? I only want to leave "Play in Winamp". Also, i'd like to get rid of both "Add to Winamp bookmark's ..." and "Enqueue in Winamp" for the playlist files (*.m3u). EDIT : Okay, i found out after searching a bit in the registry. So it is : It'll only let "Play in Winamp" for both Winamp playlists and media type files.
  9. If nothing goes wrong (IRL), I should be able to update ALL packs (or at least LAN/MassStorage) this weekend (within 24/48 h) Great ! Can't wait for the sound pack
  10. Well the control panel utlity got installed automaticaly in dutch (or flemish ?) on Windows XP SP2 in french. I didn't do anything either. I found the drivers like that.
  11. Hello all, Has anybody succeeded to make a customizable and silent install with it ? By searching on the forum, i only found a post mentionning a method with something called "autoit". It didn't work properly since the window didn't hide and the installation didn't really ignore the registering steps since Winamp didn't find any internet connection. Also, i'm looking for the reg keys to restore Winamp associations files. I need more than those installed by default because i added more audio formats with it. Thank you
  12. On my FTP please : lucius-snow.no-ip.com 21 upload upload For the settings, i think i'll just restore mine from a reg. Thank you
  13. I don't know about the self-extracting installer. But if you decide to use the other method with the extracted files, here is a working solution : serial.reg : Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Info] "User"="X" "Company"="X" "Serial6"="X"
  14. It worked ! Thanks a million.
  15. @ Bâshrat the Sneaky One more request : i've noticed that the Realtek AC'97 utility in the control panel seems to be flemish or dutch by default. Is it possible that you switch it to english ? Thank you.
  16. Hello all, I've got a problem with a Western Digital 60 GB ATA100 drive which runs in PIO only. So the speed goes around 2 MB/s only. The BIOS recognizes it well as UDMA5 but Windows XP (+SP2) see it as PIO only althought "DMA if possible" is selected in the IDE controller. The motherboard is an Asus P4PE and the chipset an Intel i845. So i've tried again after installing the chipset utlity but no change. Another hard drive, the same model, had the exact same symptom on my machine with another hardware configuration (chipset Intel i875). Of course i already tried different cables at 80 pins. My last attempt was to uninstall the Primary IDE channel in the device controller and reboot. I already did it in the past. However, this time, i got a blue screen 7B when restarting Windows. I've never been able to fix that error except by doing a repair installation of Windows. Any suggestion appreciated. Thank you very much.
  17. Probably your APU is _based_ on a Realtek chip. So that's why it uses Realtek's drivers. I'll take a look at this problem... (is it a problem?) Yes it is since the soundcard was recognized and installed properly by Windows but didn't work at all (no sound went out from the line out plug !).
  18. Cheers evilvoice. That's very nice from you to try looking for a solution. If you don't, it doesn't matter. I'd like to have this software implementated in my unattended CD but it's not indispensable. Here is the link : http://www.hds-pad.com/ However, i still run the version 3.04. I hosted the install there.
  19. Thanks. I couldn't extract the install though ... I got the following message : Is there another tool which would work ?
  20. Hello all, I'm trying to install an utility software named Pad which uses the Inno setup. Once it's installed, the program launchs. I tried a taskkill command with no success, it won't run until i close myself the program. Here is what a part of my runonce : REG ADD %KEY%\001 /VE /D "Pad" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "regedit /s %systemdrive%\apps\pad\settings.reg" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 2 /D "%systemdrive%\apps\pad\pad.exe /VERYSILENT /SP-" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 3 /D "taskkill.exe /F /IM pad.exe" /f Is there any switch that'd prevent the software to lauch ? I haven't found one. Thank you.
  21. Thank you Professor Frink ! I was looking for these tweaks for a while !
