It just extracts an uninstaller to that destination so that if you've accidentally installed the sponsor program, then you can uninstall it without uninstalling Messenger Plus!. PS: In my case I cannot even find the 'CMEDIA2' folder.

Can someone please explain how to use the new nVidia Forceware 71.84 U.S. English driver in an unattended install. Also how to, if there is a way of reducing te size of this driver? Thanks

nvidia forceware 66.93 in an archive (reduce size)
Sanjay replied to prathapml's topic in Device Drivers
Actually there are '4' NEW files, they are TOSGFX.dl_ (TOSGFX.dll) NvColor.ex_ (NvColor.exe) Nvepclnt.exe Nvhwvid.dl_ (Nvhwvid.dll) There are '2' files, nvtsext.dll & nvids.cfg that are no longer there. By the way how does one recompress the driver after using the prathapml cleanup method? -
Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.0.0.359
Sanjay replied to contender's topic in Application Installs
Does anyone else have a problem with running Download Accelerator with 'SAV Corporate 10.0.0.359'. Every time I install Download Accelerator, 'SAV Corporate 10.0.0.359' immediately opens up a window with the following info: Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan Event: Threat Found! Threat: Adware.DAP File: C:\Program Files\DAP\DAPBHO.dll Location: C:\Program Files\DAP Computer: VISUALTECH User: VISUALTECH\Sanjay Action taken: Pending Side Effects Analysis Date found: Wednesday, May 25, 2005 5:31:53 PM and another window pops up wanting to delete the 'DAPBHO.dll' file. The end result is I am unable to keep Download Accelerator as long as I have 'SAV Corporate 10.0.0.359' installed. This was not a problem with older versions of SAV Corporate. Any ideas why this happening or what the solution might be? -

WMP10 Slipstreamer Version 1.1
Sanjay replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Could you please hint as to when we might expect this 'next nLite' version. I have been waiting so very patiently for this feature to reappear and I have had my Unattend CD project on hold all this while waiting in anticipation of the new version. -
WMP10 Slipstreamer Version 1.1
Sanjay replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
So does this work and more importantly, are all the features/functions included with this method? Is there any way to slipstream WMP10 with all it's features/functions intact? -
As mentioned in my post, the IDE drivers are not neccessarily responsible for the problem that glent is facing. But if you have a Zip drive the nForce 5.10 IDE driver will render the drive useless. Even the older IDE driver causes problems with the complete functioning of Zip drives. These are well documented problems amongst many others that the nVidia IDE drivers have historically had. In fact nVidia themselves have repealed their IDE drivers on a couple of occassions due to the numerous problems. Ofcourse there are those whose systems that do benefit from the IDE drivers and I suppose that is why nVidia releases them.

unattended Window media player 10 setup?
Sanjay replied to Rico.JohnnY's topic in Application Installs
If you left out WMP9 and you get the incompatible error when trying to install later, then what you do is extract WMP10, right click on WMP10.inf, install... And then you will be able to run the installer normally and it won't b***h anymore.
Brilliant! Simple and 100% effective. In fact I did not even have to run the installer, just right click on 'wmp10.inf' click on install and that's it, media player 10 installed and ready to go. -
If you are using the useless nVidia IDE drivers then I suggest you stop using them. The Windows default IDE drivers are far superior and also have no problems. This is not to say that your problem is definately linked to the nVidia IDE drivers, but the is a good probability of it. Lots of wierd problems have turned out to be due to the infamous nVidia IDE drivers.

DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH forgot to include these... They aren't listed at the official site??? I checked it when I was updating it, forgot about this post... I guess a V5.01.1 is coming soon I just came to this thread to post regarding this, but it looks like you already have a handle on it. Guess I'll have to wait for v5.01.1 before I finalize my new UA CD, hopefully it won't be a long wait. Thanks.

HOTFIXES: Windows XP SP2 & Windows 2000 SP4
Sanjay replied to Incroyable HULK's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Now I see the updated page, although I can't figure out what the problem might have been, because I did nothing to fix it. I just went to the page today and the updated info was there and this is without me doing a forced reload. As for simply refreshing the page I had tried that unsuccessfully several times before. By the way the key combinations for 'Refresh' and 'Forced reload' are: Ctrl+F5 = Forced Reload Ctrl+R = Simple Refresh -

I have so far been integrating the hotfixes manually and I have also installing .net framework, media player 10, and media connect via SVCPACK. My question is if were to start using RyanVM's full pack then how do I install '.net framework, media player 10 & media connect" to my unattended CD via SVCPACK? -

Sanjay replied to Incroyable HULK's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
That is strange, I have been checking your site regularly and it still shows version 1.03 only. In fact I just checked again before making this post. PS: I changed the '.03' to '.04' in the link "hxxp://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/files/RVMUpdatePack1.03Full.cab" and was able to download the file. -
I am not sure if these settings work but here they are: ;-------------->MSN Messenger Tweaks<--------------- ;----- MSN Messenger: Disables - 'Display MSN Today when Messenger signs in' & 'Open Messenger main window when Messenger starts' [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger] "AppSettings"=hex:02,02,00,00 ;----- MSN Messenger: Set 'Sort Contacts by Online/Offline' [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger\PerPassportSettings\1729642803\GroupState] ".ViewByOnline"=dword:00000001

This seems to be working fine although I won't know for sure until I try this in a real unattended install. -
Deleting Internet Shortcuts created by Real Player
Sanjay replied to Sanjay's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Thanks 'blinkdt' it works with the url extention. DEL "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop\*.url" -
Real Player creats 'Two' Internet Shortcuts on the Desktop, namely 'Free Games & Music' & 'RealRhapsody Get Free Music', is there a way to avoid these being created. In case the creation is unavoidable, is there a way to delete them via my start.cmd? I have tried deleting them like other shortcuts but that does not work. The following commands: DEL "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop\*.lnk" DEL "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\*.lnk" are able to delete everything else on the desktop except the stupids Internet shortcuts created by Real Player.
