To be honest, I was'nt insinuating anything of the sort, I thought i was being helpful expressing my experiences in this matter. But if you've taken offence at any of my comments, I apologise, And i will have serius second thought;s about posting my comment in posts in the future, Whether i'm being helpful or not. I'm just wondering if it is searching if quicktime is inatalled already prior to running itunes setup ? I know you have to have quicktime installed before installing itunes otherwise you do get problems And alternative quicktime must be the latest version for your version of itunes also. OK ?

Or you could have just deleted the quicktime installer from whitin the archive and would have done just as well No need to edit msi files

Your installer seems to works Mr Shark, But the only thing is that the progress dialog appears which fills most of the screen, Is they any way of losing this dialog ? Thanks

Oh yes you can, It's just the profile folder contents are not copied over to the correct folder in SoF, All other components, themes, extensions, searchplugins etc are the same folders as in firefox 1.5.x.x I presume tou are downloading the .xpi file for the requird extensions and not just copting your extensins foler over to SoF ?

Why update because I havent tried yet, and read this But after your post, I will give a try Actually SoF does not copy the profile files (bookmarks.html, prefs.js etc) to the correct folder in SoF, So it just installs a default profile which is alright if you're not bothered with a custom profile, As SoF is now i have to move my custom profile files to the correct folder for it too work properly, Unless somebody can tell me how to change the path where my profile folder files are copied too in SoF, Thank You

I just tried SoF with firefox 2.0 final, it created the silent package ok but none of my extensions installed or my profile options when i ran the new sfirefox.exe

Thats ok i use that clean tool as well so that cant be the problem. As a test, remove the SERIAL parameter from the command line and see if you get any shortcuts then or not demo mode.

That would probably entail going through the cab's folder and removing the cab's you would'nt be using with your particular install configuration. With 369 cab files in the cab's folder, I let you build the list of which cab file contains what.

OK i figured it out ! To install to a custom location us INSTALLDIR1="" Example: setupx.exe /QB /NORESTART INSTALLDIR1="%ProgramFiles%\1-Applications\Nero" Tested Working OK! Have a nice day!

The mani thing is that you can customixe the installed coponents ok, The other stuff can be done on the command line,

The config file I posted was tried on both 7.2... and 7.5.1.1, the excludes work OK, but, nothing else. If you are referring to the MSIPROPERTY's part of the conf.txt file, I have never got them to work at all either.

@gyrene2083 - Try something like this in your comment: Setup=setupx.exe /qb /norestart INSTALLDIR="%ProgramFiles%\1-Applications\Nero\Nero 7" SERIALNUM_USERVAL="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" AGREETOLICENSE="True" And remove the serial from the conf.txt file

To get rid of the google bar use this command: regsvr32 /s /u "C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbar2.dll" That will remove it form IE and add/remove programs You can then run a delte command to delete the google folder in program files along with the GoogleToolbar2.dll . Dunno why no one thought of that before ! Have a nice day !

Updat to Nero 7.5.1.1 it has been released officially now anyway And in this release you can go back to the method described in the first post in this thread to customize the install.
