  2. Just to p*ss you all off Nero v6.6.0.1 update has now been released !
  3. I had a similar problem at the end of GUI-setup and windows would not reboot. Had to comment out the "Reset Driver Signing Policy" registry entries near the bottom of presetup.cmd to solve the problem (There is a reference to this issue in Pyron's topic). I dunno if that will help you out, but i thought i would mention it anyway as Bashrat may want to look into it.
  4. Agreed A+ Job As a suggestion, would a option to "select all" or "Add All" programs in the list with a single mouse click be an option which could be included in a future futire release ?
  5. Thanks Kenedy That seems to have fixed my problem. Thank You again for your help
  6. Launch file without /qb switch, see if it gives any error message. Thanks for the reply Kennedy Removed /qb switches as you said, But still the same, Goes into a paused state or skips it altogether with no error messages displayed. Any more ideas on this ? Thanks
  7. I have a problem launchining *.MSI files from CD, They either put ktool into a "paused" mode or skips that software install alltpgether and continues to the next selection. Any ideas ?
  8. I have succesfully created a up-to-date Win XP CD with no problems So now i thought after reading through some of the posts here i do a Windows 2000 Professional CD with all update intergrated. But they seems to be a problem with XPCREATE downloading the win2k updates, all i get is a "static" message in the download window when getting updates and thats it. Do i need to do something before XPCREATE will work with windows 2000 ?
  9. ok thanks, That was oretty much what i thought anyway
  10. "gdidettool.exe" which folder would this hotfix go in ?
  11. Use XP's iexpress to create install packages for your svcpack updates (you can do all of the current updates except dotnet sp1) much better than using a 3rd party utility like 7zip or winrar. You dont arf' make a lot of work for yourself I suggest you go back to the main msfn guides and read through them, most of the answers you need are in there. hint hint: svcpack guide & NetFramework install method 2 guide
  12. That was my original way of doing it and it worked perfectly that way no problem, But by specifying a temp folder it seema to nor want to wait till installation of dotnetfx has finished before moving on to the next stage of windows installation
  13. Thats all very well if you're running from a batch file on first bootm but absolutely useless if you're running from svcpack.inf which most of us are trying to do now.
  14. Thanks Ryan will try it the way describrd above (not that i really had any problems anyway, better safe than sorry as they say !) EDIT: Having tested Ryan's SFX archive in conjunction with my "svcpack.inf" it appears to install ok at the T13 point but the progress bar does not close till the T8 point ???? Very strange as all my other updates are installed correctly at T13 So why is the installer "hanging" for so long after installation completes and why does windows contine installing even though the progress bar is still open ?
  15. Thanks for the help pinout, using the .MSI file to install silently worked a treat
  16. Can't find the switches for a silent install of Sony Sound Forge anywhere on tne forums, Can anyone help me out please ?
