OK, I guess I am the "judge" here. I think I have been fair with both antonio_king and Seven Alive, letting them to expose their thoughts. Now, I must congratulate Romey because he pressed the right button IMO. I think he expressed my ideas, and I'm sure the ideas of lot of people following this mini-war. Life goes on, and it is in my hand the responsibility to make XPize better in future versions, so decisions like this must be taken, painful or not. I would like also to give thanks to Seven Alive for his great logon, which undoubtedly has made XPize better. You must be proud of that, and not take things the way you're taking them. I'm sure you will understand. Now, it is time for antonio_king to start a new topic in which his logon can be tested to make its appearance in the next version of XPize. I've checked. Yes, XPize patches wininet. I think I should remove it in next version. By the way, wininet.dll is only installed if IE7 and MSN Messenger are not found. Are you in any of these cases?

It seems that you're double patching shell32.dll (which shouldnt be a prob AND you said you wanted logoff screen, which is ok). Apart form that, I dont see any prob, except for all those changes in system text files. BUT, you say it gives no error before XPize... I'm not currently at home, but as far as I can remember, XPize does not touch wininet.dll. I have to check.

No, that's well done. How did you integrate SP2 into your source? Can you give any other information you think can be useful in order to figure out the prob? I would recommend you to try again, with a clean SP2 source.
