Hello everybody. While I was happy finishing my XP SP1 & SP2 CD, I wanted to create an unattended Installation of Windows 2000 SP4 with Post service pack 5 updates. I collected all updates, I downloaded Windows 2000 DeployTools to make an unattended installation. Cool till now. But the problem now is I don't know how to include these updates during windows 2000 installation. Please, Can anyone explain me how to install updates during windows 2000 installation because I searched and I found only how to slipstream SP4 into Windows 2000 which i have done already. Thanks in advance.

Impressive pthomas, Thank you however, to get everything update SP5 must be applied first then SP6

How To Figure Out Which Installer Is Used?
Stuntgp2000 replied to a06lp's topic in Application Installs
Hello, The difference between Copy & Xcopy is that the first is an Internal command which means it's within the system and loaded automatically in memory when the system starts; in the other hand, Xcopy is an extrenal command which means it's a command (a small program) that is loaded only when you call it and it's automatically unloaded when it finish it work. However, Xcopy is much powerful than copy. For example to copy the entire dir with it sub dirs, you can use Xcopy with /E You can also add these switches /C /Q /H /R /Y for further help always use : "Command /?" i.e : Xcopy /? as my friend sleepnmojo told you. -
Hello, For me, I got tired of this problem. This is way I removed them form my CD

Need help finding Registry Tweaks
Stuntgp2000 replied to fourte3n's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Hello everyone, I think Registry Monitors can help you in this situation because they give you real-time changes. you can use this tools to see which values or Keys has been modified, deleted or added. I prefer using Regmon which you can find Here. Don't forget to filter its monitoring to only Log writes and logs success in order to see only what has been changed. Good Luck -
Today I have updated my two tool because yesterday I uploaded the wrong version. you can download them Here

Thank you, I was wondering when could I find It and now you give to us thank you again.

Sorry my friends, As always I feel that I am the most stupid MSFN Member. ShowInstalledComponents does not work, the problem is that I uploaded the wrong version. I am now at work, so I can upload the correct version, after 3 hours I will upload the working one. Your regstry is safe, for those who can't recover their Add-remove list due to my carelessness I ask them to forgive me. and I will post the correct version. Thank you RaveRod for your workaround.

Hello everyone, If you are like me, want to see everything clean after a clean installation of Windows XP and you want to hide all those installed KBs, Tools & Apps from Add/Remove Application then you are lucky. I tried many methods to get rid of this endless list, till the day a read about SystemComponet on an MSFN Topic then I decided to create two small tools that either show or hide the content of Add/Remove apps. These two tools run silently without showing any message, they require a high privilege user to work, but if they were run on limited user they will abort leaving your registry intact. They work without any problem in Windows XP SP1 & SP2 and they do not require any switch. To download these tools click Here

Hello everyone, This the result after testing my two tools thoroughly : They are fully compatible with Windows XP SP1 & SP2, no problem was found. They were designed to run in unattended installation, so they will not inform you if they successfully hide or show Installed component. If they are run from a high privilege user they will hide or show components with showing any message, BUT if they are run form a limit privilege user they will abort the operation leaving your registry intact. However you are encouraged to download the newer version Here

Hello everyone, As always Prathapml, thank you for your valueable help.

To day I have tested it in 3 windows Installation of windows XP SP1 with the latest updates (Media Player 10 Included), But I have not found any neither a problem nor error message; However, to remove doubts I ask for a volunteer to run this tool on his windows but before running It MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR REGISTRY.
-
1) which version of windows do you have ? 2) did you have this error message before running my tool ? For now I can't figure out this problem but to help you restore your add/remove list please run Regedit.exe then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and delete SystemComponent whenever you find it in all sub keys sorry my friend; however, I tested it in Windows XP SP1 & SP2 without any problem. By the way, please can you tell me which Registry cleaner do you use ?

Hello everybody, I have read this topic too late, however I think that there are others who still don't know how to hide Installed hotfixes & apps. I have made two small tools, the first Hide Installed apps and the second show them again. B) If you want to download them click Here

OK thank you my friend, I am really facing many problems with this server because it's slow, offering only 50Mbytes to host your files and what's worse is it gives you only 500MB bandwidth per month (I am now at 150 Mbytes of usage). However, I really need a free host service that give at least 100MB of space, more than 1GB of bandwidth per month, and zip & exe uploading is allowed. so if anyone know this service, please give it to me because I am really needing it. thanks in advance -
