if you integrate a lot of hot fixes and such it does take awhile to complete. i have seen instances in my case where it takes 3 hours or so to complete, that was integrating hot fixes and IE8 in my case.

did you turn off your anti virus and all other running programs like that? that is big cause of those kind of slow downs

vlite cannot integrate service pack 2 as of right now, i believe you have to do each version separate.

doubtful, even if there was changes you can get whatever they change from windows update.

are you asking after you have vista installed with service pack integrated?

well i did just that, reinstalled windows. i must say SP2 is an improvement so far. i used vlite to remove some things and it worked fine.

i got the same results as you. not sure what else could be stopping it

I found this . . . I tried it and the SP2 installer doesn't complain about missing components any more, I haven't installed yet, I want to make an image first just incase something nasty happens i will try this tonight after work and report back

i just finished downloading a full 64 bit version of vista with service pack 2 integrated and was able to use vlite to integrate IE8 and remove some stuff i did not want. worked fine, will be installing it when i find the time to do it

that is a pain in the a** process, a tool to do it would be much simpler. hopefully somebody makes one

i did the same thing as you and ran into the same exact problem. you can either hope for nuhi to come back or somebody else makes a slipstream utility or download a full retail version with service pack 2 already integrated.

i never said that nuhi said he was not coming back. that is my opinion about it. i am hoping somebody else comes out with a slipstreaming utility

i had no problem at all with IE8 on vlited vista 64 bit ultimate. runs fine for me

what he is asking for will be on the DVD made by vlite. open it up and look for file named last session. there will be 2 of them, DO NOT post the one with your key for vista if you did an unattended setup. post the contents of the one that has the things you removed and so forth
