    Sp1 after Vlite

open controll panel, click on system icon and tell us what it says when that opens. it will tell you there if you have service pack installed
  5. look here http://www.msfn.org/board/version-WAIK-t11....html&st=20
  6. you need to remove some things like drivers and components you are not going to need.
  7. yes it will activate. i think nuhi would have had lots of complaints by now if you could not activate after using vlite
  8. what do you mean by this -I am curious if I can take my own LEGITIMATE copy of Vista and make a vlite "distro" ?
  9. you might want to go elsewhere for help, piracy is not allowed on these forums.
  10. i just went from a dual core E6600 to a quad core Q6600 and had no trouble at all.
  11. you need to extract the vista DVD to your hard drive first then point vlite to that folder
  12. you sure you used nlite which is for XP instead of vlite which is for vista? might want to post this in the vlite forums instead of here to get your question answered http://www.msfn.org/board/vLite-f153.html
  13. great work nuhi!! just made new install DVD to install new hard drive i just bought. i integrated SP1 then the hot fixes and the dreamscene addons plus the hot fixes till july 2008 and removed security center, windows defender, welcome center and windows sidebar. made few minor tweaks and integrated my install key. installed perfectly for me. thank you
  14. that is not the latest version, go here to get the latest vlite
  15. that is a bug that has been fixed by the newest release of vlite. unfortunately you will have to do everything over again.
  16. nuhi, not sure if this is a bug or not. after using vlite and closing the program i am noticing my system is real sluggish requiring a restart. what would be causing this?
  17. great job nuhi, i just slipstreamed service pack 1 into my retail 64 bit vista ultimate DVD. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!!!!

    Is that legal?

my feelings on this subject are this - you paid for your copy of vista with its legit key. so if micosoft will not send you a DVD with service pack 1 integrated, i went to micosoft forums and asked this very question and was told that no microsoft will not do that, then i feel that if you can get an image which is untouched and by that i mean cracked or loaded with spyware and viruses then it is within your right to do so. what are they going to do to you? you did not pirate anything and you have the COA and a legit key.

    About Vista SP1

This is not true it is slip-streamable like every other Service Pack wait a few days and you will see and i don't talk about reverse integration. please provide proof of this
  20. i have a similar question but mine concerns retail vista. i recently bought a previously activated vista of a for sale forum and figured i would have to call microsoft to get it activated. to my surprise when i installed it it activated no troubles at all. and again to my surprise i was able to get a retail image of vista with service pack 1 integrated into it and reformatted again and activated it a second time with no trouble at all. this totaly shocked me, is the activation different for retail vista then say retail XP?

    Hotfix Downloads

i believe ryan's site only deals with XP he wants vista. look here for update packs for vista that can be used with vlite
  22. i use a program called vista start menu that does all i want
  23. I *thought* the integrated Vista SP1 RTM DVD fully integrated versions would not be available until March ?!?! So is blerk saying that the above DVD's (i) have SP1 RTM fully integrated into them already (ii) are available to MSDN/MS Connect members *now* for download but that (iii) average joe users who do have licensed copies of Vista cant even get the standalone updater for another 2-4-8 weeks ? Or maybe, are these Vista DVD's simplyt the Vista DVD with the SP1 RTM file also copied onto it which then has to be run and installed ? Ben i downloaded this one 6001.18000.080118-1840_amd64fre_Client_en-us-FRMCXFRE_EN_DVD.iso and used my legit retail ultimate key to install it. i vlited it but all i did was make it an unattended install and that was it. been running it for 2 days now with no troubles at all
  24. nuhi: no warez talk
  25. that is wierd, my system did just the opposite. my disk transfer speeds went from 50-55kbs to 60-63kbs and overall performance is better. i think somebody was using a screwed up system to do those benchmarks
