ok thanks ryanvm. i also found windows media connect on microsofts site. the file is wmcsetup.exe. i used Q:A R:N for it also.

KB892211.exe /Q:A /R:N worked for me....although I don't know if u need the /R:N part.....i don't know what its for.

it comes with all the cracks and stuff ......does this iso work on XP64?

so can i just use my current xp pro key for my xpcd? or do i need it to be an mce key? this is confusing. i downloaded mce 2005 off irc.

before i do this....i just wanna make sure we have the same version. in my CMPNENTS folder it has 3 more folders: INSTALLER (has a bunch of .dll fiiles along with 3 more folders) MEDIACTR\I386 NETFX (has I386 and V1.1) When I installed it on top of an already installed xp it didnt ask me for a key. in order to turn xp pro into mce, i need to enter the mce key into the xp installation?

I have the standalone MCE2005 and I wanted know if I could integrate it into my XP installation. Is there a guide for this?

well....the update package 2 is mainly for people with dvd burners, or people that want to rip movies and burn them to cd. (note that u must have a program like anydvd running in the background in order to rip/copy copy protected dvds.) i had this problem in my installation. i ended up clicking CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot the machiene, upon reboot it continued the runonce where it left off....proceeded to incd, etc. anyways, it would be nice for this to be fixed, but im done with my installation of xp pro so im not worried about unattended until i have a copy of MCE2005.

im done with my unattended business...until mce2005 or xp64, but unattended drivers didnt work for me from winnt.sif or runonceex. i just ended up installing them the normal way. anyways....the 4.9 drivers rock and so does my Aviator AX7!!!!!!!

depends. if you are getting a desktop...then wait a couple months (maybe till dec) for the amd64 mobos that support pci-e. Otherwise if you are getting a laptop and you don't wanna wait for pci-e to be released in mid-2005, then get one with an amd64 now. they are so much faster especially for games than a p4. 64bit edition will also be extremely fast. some advice....when buying 64bit...go with amd...they have a good lead on the 64 bit world and even if intel releases something, it is gonna be halfassed. (the memory controller on intels suck). i just bought a Hypersonic Aviator AX7 with an AMD64 3700+ (2.4ghz). It will easily outperform the intel 3.4ghz HT Extreem Edition along with 3.6/3.8.

Is installing the 4.9 dirvers unattended the same as the way we used for the 4.8 drivers?

i have acrobat pro 6. is their anyway to slipstream the updates into it? everytime i try it says that it doesnt support it.

i tried an installation with driversigningpolicy on in sp2, and it didnt install any driver that wasnt WHQL certified. It also would let me install any driver that inst WHQL certified after installation.

im trying to set it up so that it doesn't show the extraction process. also....will /qn work in svcpack?
