There is not much to replace and you don’t need to be a genius for this . Take out the blue cartridge and take a look at its green roller (keep it out of UV light as much as you can, and only for a short period) and you will see it’s damaged somehow or something got stuck on it. Don’t touch the roller by the way...

Looks like the fuser is damaged by something, replacing the damaged toner cartridge will resolve your problem.

Horizontal would give more surfaces to cool, as in "all heat goes up", only thing I can think about. Same with CPU coolers, Horizontal would be better. Naa, to slingshot a rotating object you need a force-point on the rotating object that points outwards the center and gets larger, bigger or what ever. Problem is that you get a dead point in rotation that needs to be compensated, like a drive stain (crank) from a bicycle. By the way, don’t pay attention what the factory says, that just to sell more dives after warranty periods . Platters are thick and heavy indeed, so they maintain continues speed easier then a lightweight plate, like the flight-wheel on a car-engine, lighter will stall the engine faster but spins up, revs, faster. Normally a modem/router would be addressed on 192.168.0.1 / 192.168.0.100 / 192.168.100.0 or so, just type these addresses in your browser window and see if a menu shows up...

You have a WebStar Dpc2100 modem that acts as a router so you could look into the menu from your router and see if there is a firewall enabled. Also Windows has a firewall build in that can be enabled. I would try to disable those 2 and see how it goes from there. Personally I prefer "hardware" firewalls over software firewalls...

So your system is fast enough. I was wondering this because some people have problems when they are installing Firewall software on AMD K6 300MHz or PII 233MHz systems for example. Can’t help you with your problem trough…

ATi supports up to Radean 9800 on there site. If nVidia supports 6800 series cards I would look at a 6800xt, they are dirt-cheap these days and most of them can be unlocked to 16/6 shaders (normaly they have 8/4 shaders).

That doesn’t make sense at all; the only thing changed in your configuration is time... Are you restoring only one drive of few drives?

I see that wikipedia somehow is getting more and more popular, it could take some time to find the right stuff on Google sometimes while in wiki you go directly to the point were you want to be. If I want to know more about chipsets for example I jump first to wiki and if that don’t satisfy me I will use Google. Don’t get me wrong, Google is still THE homepage on my machines .

Anandtech is a good source indeed, but I think they didn’t modify the drivers there self, nor do I see end-users have done this. The only lead they have is the test setup from iNTEL with SLI... Believe me, this is driving me nutz and almost impossible to believe it’s only software related. Any way, for now, when you want SLI, you have to go with an nVidia 650/680 chipset.
