actually, i had a similar problem, with mine it was to do with the Sideband address and fast writes.. i disabled them and it works fine

hmm interesting gosh.. they should save themselves some money and forget about it.. all it creates is blocking someones product id that got leaked and the legitimate user pays the price.. should be on inital install, you MUST register online, sending the data to server saying "Mr John Citizen has registered xxxxxxxxx id" and if someone uses the same key, logs there IP and say hello mr police man..

well knowing you dont have a msn.com or hotmail.com email address, it can happen.. i wouldnt be surprised if the passport system was updated and probably a handful of people had to re-register..

well it could be a virus then.. some viruses take a lot of the system memory or CPU usage and make the computer slow, laggy and unstable.. i suggest you run a few programs.. a well known anti-virus (Norton, AVG, McAfee etc) and make sure the definitions are updated and some sort of spyware removal programs like Spybot S+D, Ad-aware, HiJack etc.. that may help..
