do u mean u tried 2 put in a new video card? do u mean u tried to update your video card drivers? do u mean u tried to turn off shadowing in bios? what do u mean if u mean your computer never shuts down when u press the shutdown button, try closing all programs in the task manager b4 u shutoff
Nod32 can be made to be portable, u only need nod32.exe the refrence files & 2 dlls, works flawlessly, but it can only be used as an ondemand scanner then
indeed , u can delete it & if u goto control panel > folder options > view then scroll down to "show encrypted or compressed files in color" u can untick that if u dont wanna see them like that
lots of things tho can take into account for the size.. he could have put his $OEM$ folder in there he could have added a ton of unneeded crap, hotfixes,updates & other things that maybe are for older versions of xp?

@godan when deleting ANY files in i386 folder first goto DOSNET.inf delete the d1, entry for it then TxtSetup.sif & delete all lines calling that file, this way u avoid the error messages, thats all nlite does too
