i misread what he said, but thats still small, my windows folder + docs and settings are like 600MB and i have about 90% of nLites options selected, everything except video & sound drivers & scsi drivers & wordpad, and terminal service Edit, the windows folder on my regular XP install is almost 2GB , so it does save an emense amount of room (i have the exact same stuff on my vmware unattended install as i do my regular xp, so i can be sure its all gonna play nice together)

u get 299MB after install? how ? my xp cd is about 170MB (just for xp) then about 130 for programs i get about 1GB used... how is yours so low? thanks

can u take a screenshot as 2 how far u can get, and what the message is? sounds like its taking along time (possibly freezing, 2 apply the new changes)

Suggestion for new item for removal in Program files, there is a folder called "Online Services" that isnt needed, wont save much, if any, because its only links but i find it annoying and a waste of a folder lol ill just remove the directory during install if u dont decide 2 add it tho so either way its all good

any mods gonna consider stickying this? thx

im quite fond of Firefox, but i dont like how much memory it uses 40-50MB but i find it quite secure

i dont think so, as they are deleted, if u removed something that u want back, just copy over your XP cd 2 your hdd again and start fresh, keeping backups of stuff like your .sif file and any commands or anything u made

goto add remove programs, they should be listed there Edit: Remove your product key dude

TWILL, download and run InstallRight, it will silently install ANY application, whether it has silent install capabilities or not http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications.htm

i also think i maybe spotted a few bugs.. when i right click my drive © goto properties, disk cleanup, it still functions also, when i goto remove windows components, in add remove progs. accessories things are exact same size as on my regular xp install, r they just icons? cuz the size isnt that big... (same as regular install tho)

im using the uxtheme.dll patch, it could be something with that, also, if u wanna make the buttons bigger, and send me a test copy ill see if the prob is the buttons are 2 small? thanks

im not sure what u mean :S installing something without /wait CAN cause problems.. i would suggest u use it, as for the mp3 exe thing, im not 100% sure what u mean

Personally, i like autopatcher,it has all the updates in one package..saves a heck of alot of time... but ppl are entitled 2 have their own opinion

hey, it should be an upper case S /S if that doesnt work, download and install InstallRight it will make any program silently install, no switches required

bOrG did u by chance remove the terminal service? that has 2 do with networking....

IMON = Internet mail monitor, if u use a mail client, OE or something else, it will detect a virus if sent 2 that its not a crucial deal, aslong as AMON is working, u should be fine, as AMON scans everything when u click on it anyways
