why not use InstallRight? it recompiles your .exe allowing u 2 have unattended switches, product key in your install any everything http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications.htm

do this, go to http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications.htm and download InstallRight it will install ANY program silently , it recreates a .exe of the program, choose silent installs, and dont reboot, and just a simple start /wait programname.exe (no switches required if u chose silent install from within the program)

i think you have 2 pay attention 2 whats on the tabs, the program isnt a hard 1 2 figure out, IF you can read

hey jazz, i have the EXACT same prob with the imon thing, i have it disabled so i can access the internet, and 2 update the definitions u will need 2 install nod on your pc u have now, get the most recent definitions, and use xcopy and overwrite the old 1's but i dont see the point if your gonna be on the internet anyways

xcopy "%CDROM%\install\Applications\trillian" "%programfiles%\trillian" /E /Y try that, u need quotes, and i believe your switches were backwards

thats no big deal... aslong as u dont get any Installation errors, u can always clear the logs

you must not be doing it right, there is a button that says START, AFTER you choose what u want reduced

download and install ** InstallRight ** it will allow u 2 silently install ANY program

i found a way 2 enable all that without switches (iMON AMON no splash screen) download InstallRight and run expert setup of nod32 using the program, it will generate a .exe file and run that instead of the nod32 .exe works great

add this 2 your registry file [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop] "TileWallpaper"="0" "Wallpaper"="C:\\Windows\\Resources\\Themes\\wallpaper.bmp "WallpaperStyle"="2" that is providing your wallpaper is in C:\WINDOWS\Themes and titled Wallpaper.bmp 2 run the registry file silently put this in REGEDIT /S filepath\filename.reg hope this helps

not sure if this is the appropriate place 2 post this, but since its kinda releated 2 nlite ill post here.. If i remove ALL drivers, does it remove default (standard) drivers? example, if i were 2 use my cd 2 install xp on another pc, with different hardware, would it just use standard drivers til i install appropriate ones? thanks

I usually only suggest good ideas lol ive found, not alot of ppl go "hunting" for their problem's solution, if its not right infront of them, then they'll post on a thread instead of trying 2 find their own solution

just thought maybe it'd be a good idea if an Admin/Mod made a sticky titled something like "Cant find your Switch? try these" and in the thread list things like "AutoIt" and "InstallRight" since X Amount of ppl who cant find their switch for a program maybe not everyone uses, can use those as alternates? Suggestion, download and install InstallRight, use that 2 configure your install, what it does is record your Install of the program & any keys u use, and saves it as a .exe and if u enable silent install & disable reboots even if required, its better then any switch cuz u dont have 2 find the switch hope this helps search http://unattended.msfn.org for the file

not sure if im understanding what your saying, but Wats the sense in having an unattended install if yer not gonna supress the reboots? anyways for Install Right the link is http://www.epsilonsquared.com/ i found this program 2 be better then "AutoIt" but if u wanna try that 1, just goto http://unattended.msfn.org and search for it under "Applications" both are freeware

or.. if the program doesnt have a "disable restart" switch, consider running "Install Right" it takes a snapshot of the b4 and after of yer pc, and lets u install the program silently (if chosen) and u have the option (within InstallRight) to choose "never restart computer, even if prompted" or something 2 that extent aslong as u put a check in the radio box for that, it will disable all restarts from the program thats causing them 2 run it just type start /wait programname.exe (u dont need switches if u selected 2 silently install it from within the InstallRight program) hope this helps

also, "RegSnap" its shareware, but i find its better then RegShot up2 u tho, just another choice

i agree with CBC, it makes more sense 2 not go back 2 the middle, but its not that big of a deal..
