  1. @GekkeHenkie Indexing service > i too have that, i dunno if its a windows bug or with nlite, this program is still in its early stages, so give it time if it is a nlite bug > slipstreaming a service pack, rewrites original windows files with newer ones from a service pack (containing fixes and whatnot) and it installs newer stuff registry tweaks can be exported from the regitry 2 a .reg file or u can make your own, using a txt editor and renaming the file .reg a reg file looks like this Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]"MenuShowDelay"="18"that will make menus appear quicker save that into a reg file as explained above, double click it 2 install it in the registry hope this clarifies some

  4. @gekkehenkie yes, vmware/virtual PC wont be as fast as regular windows, cuz its basically, a computer inside a computer , virtualpc & vmware use "fake hardware" not alot of your hardware is recognised correctly (atleast mine isnt ) as for slipstreaming, search the unattended forums, there are plenty of posts on your concerns

  8. Suggestion for the GUI of nLite Adding "Estimated Space Reduced" and/or When u select an item it shows how much space will be gained when that object is removed just thought it would be neat Regards
  9. @fatdev after u click the custom files u want 2 remove (or use default selected) click next til it reaches [start] click that, then click [make iso] after its finished reducing regards

  11. sounds like a windows service isnt functioning, is this on the host or guest os?
  12. im guessing you havent read the first page, after i asked (about 4 days ago) nuhi put a post on the first thread stating that there wouldnt be a uxtheme.dll patch tweaks can be applied using a reg. tweak, search other threads for things like "classic logon" hope this helps

  14. i agree with borg, paint would be a good thing 2 have removed, but i dont think it saves much room, maybe 1 mb or so, same with calc. i have a suggestion tho removing windows image viewer wont save much room but i like the 1 ms office has in it better
  15. it just makes standard exe's start /wait filename.exe u dont need switches if u chose the "Install Silently" box
  16. have u checked the switches sticky? also try the program in my signature install right
  17. 5 mins 2 wait :| im using vmware, i have my shutdown command set for 30seconds, vmware takes about 15 seconds 2 fully load explorer, then another 15 it will shutdown heres mine shutdown.exe -r -r -t 30

  19. i dunno if anyone is familiar with linux, but theirs an option "Rollup" it will take your window and "roll it up" so that u only see the title bar, anyone know a way i can do this in windows (XP)? thanks

  23. i havent heard anything being mentioned about it, but u could try using the xp 1 on there, since their are alot of similar components
  24. click the link in my signature, where the red font is pointing 2, install adobe reader with that, choose silent install and no reboots, and just run the .exe no fance switches 2 play with
