i use sudo to obtain administrative priviledges. on your ut2k3 dvd there must be a script to install it on linux, just run that script being root. you'll be prompted where to install blah blah blah, then just typing a command the game window will appear note: not sure if fedora uses sudo... never tried it...

sudo sh installationscript.shworks for me on ubuntu. installationscript.sh should be on the root dir of your ut2k4 dvd

I've been busy with my personal projects; I'm trying to get a nice blog up and running while I'm fighting my need to create some visual stuff such as themes, wallpapers, skins, icons and a large etc. You already know from a time to now I'm not as active as always but I'm trying to keep an eye here (I visit the forums everyday indeed). Just wanted to let you know it. Now I'm requesting some help, it would be nice if you (people) at the time of posting, could say something like "I would love X to be on current month contest". read my post above ubuntu runs gnome, kubuntu kde, xubuntu xfce, edubuntu is oriented to schools, nubuntu to networks and security... there are multiple derivations based on ubuntu (either official or unofficial) you better check their homepages

ordered mines a week ago, hooray for ship-it! @DigeratiPrime, since ubuntu is a primary objective the latest versions will always be available for this one first. appart from that there shouldn't be any difference, it depends either are using an old computer or if you like gnome over xfce for those wondering, xubuntu is the light-weight version of ubuntu (running xfce as window-manager) so it's perfect for your PII/PIII/K6 processor

+1 now for the starter, NO, the title DIDN'T SAID IT ALL! first, a bitmap image can't be animated, only a .gif or .swf can represent an animated progress bar. there are better ways to ask for help and being more descriptive is one of them. are you looking for a sequence of .bmp files? an animated .gif/.swf? width? height? size? colors?... ps: didn't want to sound rude, welcome to the forum
