the virtual dvd drive that installs daemon it's a SCSI one. if you go to device manager you can see a "DTxxxPRT SCSI Controller" (D)aemon (T)ools (xxx) means 3 numbers version (P)o(RT). maybe it's a problem with that version of daemon, i use version 3.46 and my switch:

I agree, I'm using Outpost for that very reason. Plus, it's easy to configure (I know s**t about firewall configuration, BTW). Have you been able to set it up unattended? If so, would you please share your method? (I wrote an AutoIt script for it this AM but haven't had a chance to test it yet.) muaaahahahahaha!! many time waiting for an unattended solution to outpost. it has annoyed me for a very long time and after days i've found it! Guide to Silent Install Outpost Firewall Pro (by me )

someone can help me to silent install outpost?

Quick Guide to Silent Install Agnitum Outpost Pro Firewall 2.11 1.-Starting... First we need AutoIt application that can be downloaded from here. Current version it's 3.0.102 (4th Aug, 2004). 2.-AutoIt Script... Save the above code to a .txt file and rename it to .au3 3.-Compiling... Finally we're going to compile our AutoIt script. Search for a folder on AutoIt directory called "Aut2Exe". After running the compiler select your .aut (.au3) script, then imput the name of the .exe file that you like (must be in the same Outpost folder). Leave everything and press "Convert". 4.-Finish... Add the entry of the compiled .exe file to your .cmd file. 5.-Final notes... For this exact script to work you'll need: Name of installer have to be OutpostProInstall.exe AutoIt compiled .exe have to be in the same directory of OutpostProInstall.exe Must be installed before any antiviral software It's easy to develop an AutoIt Script, take the code as a base to yours. Good Luck! -
if you can compress it down from 9,14mb, ME!

Resource Hacker it's your program. can do this and many more things

i will choose outpost but not for it firewall capabilities, it's the best ad blocker i've ever seen and works perfect. i've used many firewalls for example zonealarm (high resources), panda antivirus firewall (problems with permissions), bitdefender antivirus firewall (not much posibilities) and outpost that sometimes give problems but i think it's the best

someone can help me to silent install outpost?
SiMoNsAyS replied to SiMoNsAyS's topic in Application Installs
f**** the **** outpost !!!! this thread it's not finished yet. i used installrite and everything was ok with my current os but on unattended installation it's useless (because of many services that aren't added). now i start from scratch. i have to kill a process "GLB2.tmp" or use a vbs script to clic cancel restart. the switch REALLYREBOOT does not help and don't know why puts the shortcuts on C:\. would work? i know there is somewhere in the forum an utility to find apps switches but i can find the tool any more ideas? -
when i open WINNT32.exe only upgrade dialog appear
SiMoNsAyS replied to Adiel's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
mmm i've found a little glitch that prevent the file to work under M$VM (don't know if it's only mine) but it works ok under my other "real" pc ... other thing i forgot to say before, the file must be run in the root folder of the xpcd. other way you'll have to specify custom roots. good luck! -
when i open WINNT32.exe only upgrade dialog appear
SiMoNsAyS replied to Adiel's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
when you try to upgrade, the winnt.sif file it's not used. try to use this code instead @echo off set AnswerFile=.\I386\Winnt.sif set SetupFiles=.\I386\ .\I386\winnt32.exe /s:%SetupFiles% /unattend:%AnswerFile% /copysource:lang exit save it as a .cmd file and run it from windows. -
now named everest, this program it's the old known aida32

true but i think first method it's easier. just extract the .msi installer and create a new .exe for the win.ini file.
-
how can you check out this anyway? mine, a few days ago, reached the 61º it's normal because actually here in spain ambient temperature goes to 44º and the CPU it's clocked +200mhz @for everyone that wants to check it's own temperature, i use Mother Board Monitor. i think it's the best program for this purposes but since a month or so it's not on development

Quick Guide to Silent Install BitDefender 7.2 1.- Extract the .msi file from the BitDefender installation, you can try switches or open it with WinRAR. 2.- Call the .msi intallation file with the switch /qb to be silently installed, like: start /wait %CDROM%\Software\BitDefender\bdprof.msi /qb 3.- To add our registration information we need to search for the file "Win.ini" that it's stored on the \Windows\ folder. At the end of the file we can read This is our registration information. We need a clean copy of Win.ini so you can manually delete what you think it's garbage / spam, or you can run a clean installation of windows and then add those lines. Finally, the file will be written many times during installation of the OS or programs like BitDefender so we need to do it a the final process of installation. We'll compress the Win.ini into a RAR SFX for example with this comment That it's to overwrite the file Win.ini on the \Windows\ dir. To do it silently we'll add this start /wait %CDROM%\Software\BitDefender\(Win.ini).exe /s Good luck!

That won't be sufficient, because IE doesn't just keep the cookies. It also keeps a cookie index, and without the cookie being indexed, there's a chance that IE won't read it if it's just copied into the directory. i supposed that ... anyway with firefox i know i can export all my stuff including the cache... so i think for firefox users it could be easy... maybe when i got 1 moment i'll take a closer look...

@jcarle good find man! i'll take care
-
this happens when you don't have the custom skin/model that the server it's using for the gun so you can't see them
-
so then use this method...

what about a sfx rar file that it's self-extracting "Cookie:administrator@google.ca" to "%SYSTEMDRIVE%\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\". it must be done at the final stage of installation or the Administrator account will be renamed to YourDomain.Administrator... another time it's just an idea...
-
don't know anything about this but i can guess... it's a inet cookie that stores itself on the temporaly inet files and if it can be done... maybe it can be done but as you could imagine it would be quiiite difficult... can someone correct me? edit: @dirtyepic you've been faster
