  5. Looks like it to me. I think that this thread shows what is happening.
  6. Am I right in thinking that you have one hard drive partitioned into logical drives? If yes then what is happening to one logical drive is happening to all the logical drives because the PHYSICAL drive is breaking down (Knackered bearings causing wobble resulting in the heads hitting the surface?) As Loblo is saying, time to back up and get a new drive fitted
  7. The only thing that springs to mind is do a scandisk in DOS with a surface scan to eliminate the possibility of the disk in the throes of going "belly up" Best of luck Tony
  8. Just bought Jeff Beck's "Rock 'n' Roll Party" Top quality 50's Rock and Roll with Imelda May helping out on voice. This is his tribute to Les Paul
  9. Myself, I use CCleaner and something I've used from my Win98 days, "Easycleaner". Easycleaner is not quite as rigorous as CrapCleaner but does a good job for me. Right click and run as Administrator. Look at registry and unnecessary files I've not looked at Win7 as I've not had problems with a full HD but XP had a load of leftovers( Uninstall) from updates which (looking at dates) which can be deleted if your machine is stable.
  10. My machine Processor Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2160 @1.8GHz 4.7 Memory 4GB 4.7 Graphics ATI Radeon HD2400 series 3.7 Gaming 1503 MB total available graphics memory 5.4 Primary HD 84 GB free (106 GB total) 5.9 Graphics was 3.5 then I used "Autotune" in the Catalyst driver. Hard drives are IDE Motherboard is a Biostar P4M90-M7A and running Win7 Ultimate 32bit I've gone for performance over aesthetics in Win7's settings Cheers Tony
  11. I've currently got an AC/DC cd in my car from the days before Bon Scott died. "Whole Lotta Rosie" is getting plenty of hammer. Of interest there is a track called "Problem Child" Cant remember the title of the cd and I cant be bothered to nip out to the car, its too cold!!
  12. Tripredacus, Foriegner, Jukebox Hero. Excellent Dencorso, I never knew The Animals did "Paint it Black" The Rolling Stones did it As for me, I've just bought Black Sabbath's Greatest Hits (I think) which reintroduced me to "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" which I bought when the album came out http://video.yahoo.com/watch/4585236/12274325
