  4. I thought of that as well. But wouldn't that be a bit silly. I thought mass storage need some other modification to be make. Therefore i can't just drop in a Massstorage pack into \OEM can i? ( May be i am complicating things for my self........... Because driverpack is too simple to be true!! )
  5. Sorry to dig up this old thread. But i was just wondering if those pack are still getting updated. Because i was thinking they will ever get updated in SP2 / update so the file i am replacing will no longer be the lastest. Or are icon files never updated at all.
  6. I have downloaded a Bootscreen. And i am wondering how could you slipstream it into the cd to completely replace the orginal bootscreen
  7. I know OOBE was suppose to run. And that is what i wanted so that i could set my Username, Computer name before start. However i could not get it to run. I specially remake my CD in nlite without OOBE deleted ( Which took me a whole day already ) And it still doesn't work. Any pointers would be much appreciated. ; Generated by nLite 0.99.8 beta 5 ; [Data] Autopartition = 0 MsDosInitiated = 0 UnattendedInstall = Yes [Unattended] UnattendMode = DefaultHide UnattendSwitch = No OemPreinstall = Yes OemSkipEula = Yes FileSystem = * WaitForReboot = No NoWaitAfterTextMode = 1 NoWaitAfterGUIMode = 1 TargetPath = Windows DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore NonDriverSigningPolicy = Ignore Hibernation = No [SystemFileProtection] SFCQuota = 0 [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword = * OEMSkipRegional = 1 OemSkipWelcome = 1 TimeZone=85 [Components] [UserData] ProductKey = "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" ComputerName = * FullName = * [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup = 9 Language = 0404 [Identification] JoinWorkgroup=MSHOME [GUIRunOnce] command7= "%SystemDrive%\DP\S\Sound_Control_Panels_1.cmd" command8= "%SystemDrive%\DP\S\Sound_Control_Panels_2.cmd" command9= "CMD /C RD /S /Q %SystemDrive%\DP" %systemdrive%\install\finish.cmd [Main] Env = 0.99.8 beta 5.573.Microsoft Windows NT 5.1.2600.0 Target = Windows XP Professional SP2 - build 2180 - English (United States) [Tasks] Remove Components Options and Tweaks [Components] ;# Applications # Briefcase Internet Games NT Backup Wordpad ;# Drivers # Brother Devices Display Adapters Ethernet (LAN) ISDN Modems Sony Jog Dial Sound Controllers Wireless Ethernet (WLAN) ;# Internet Utilities # Client for Netware Networks Communication tools FrontPage Extensions Internet Information Services (IIS) MSN Explorer Netmeeting Network Monitor Driver and Tools Outlook Express Web Folders Windows Messenger ;# Multimedia # Images and Backgrounds Mouse Cursors Movie Maker Music Samples Old CDPlayer and Sound Recorder Windows Sounds ;# Operating System Options # DR Watson Help Manual Install and Upgrade MS Agent Search Assistant Tour Zip Folders ;# Services # Messenger ;# Languages # Most languages....... ;# Directories # DOCS SUPPORT VALUEADD ;# Compatibility # [KeepFiles] msconfig.exe scrnsave.scr [RemoveFiles] blastcln.exe clock.avi [Options] ClassicSetup AdminName = "Admin" AdminNChange ProfilesDir = "%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings" NoWmpComp ;#ISO maker# isovol = isoatt = -allow-multidot -relaxed-filenames -allow-leading-dots -N -l -d -D -joliet-long -duplicates-once -no-emul-boot -b boot.bin -hide boot.bin -hide boot.catalog [Tweaks] ;# Desktop,Taskbar & Startmenu # Disable Highlight newly installed programs Disable Start Panel popup on first boot Expand Administrative tools in Start Panel Expand Control Panel in Start Panel Expand My Computer in Start Panel Remove Windows Catalog from Start Menu ;# Experimental # ;# Explorer # Add CMD SHELL:> to all Drives and Folders Add My Network Places to My Computer Disable Beep on errors Disable Prefix: Shortcut to Recycle Bin: make renamable Remove Internet Explorer icon on desktop Set sound scheme to No Sounds Show extensions of known file-types ;# File Open/Save Dialog # ;# Internet Explorer # ;# Security & Privacy # Classic Logon Disable Last accessed Timestamp on files Disable LM HOSTS lookup Launch folder windows in a seperate process Remove Alexa Spyware ;# Speed # Classic Control Panel Disable Automatically search for network folders and Printers Disable Optimize harddisk when idle Disable Restore Mapped Network Drives on Logon Do not cache thumbnails ;# Visual Effects # Disable: Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing Disable: Fade or slide menus into view Disable: Fade or slide ToolTips into view Disable: Fade out menu items after clicking Disable: Show shadows under menus Disable: Show shadows under mouse pointer Disable: Show translucent selection rectangle Disable: Show windows contents while dragging Disable: Slide open combo boxes Disable: Slide taskbar buttons Disable: Smooth-scroll list boxes Disable: Use a bachground image for each folder type [Drivers] [Hotfixes] D:\pack\RVMUpdatePack1.2Lite.cab
  8. I don't see anything wrong with that site. The only things is that why you need to go over to that site when most of them are avalible here http://www.free-codecs.com/index.htm
  9. Just wondering. Coz i missed place my Driverpack Graphics A and it didn't get into my uA CD.
  10. I thought ATI driver should be Driverpack A? Anyway Intel has updated their i915 driver pack again. Find a link for you later.
  11. Thx looking for this in a long time. Does this also make Thunderbird sticky on Startmenu as well? Also I think have Thunderbird setup its default profile ( Can't remember its command ) Should solve the problem of Asking on first run.
  12. Oh............. ok Then i just want to ask my OOBE did not run, is it becasue i put it in System32 folder instead of \OOBE folder or could there be any other reason. I had OEMSkipWelcome = 1 UnattandSwitch = NO
  13. Sorry to bring up old thread, But on unattanded.msfn.org it said put OOBEinfo.ini in XPCD\$OEM$\$$\System32\ But on some thread it said to put it in XPCD\$OEM$\$$\System32\OOBE So which one is right? Because i put mine in System32 but OOBE doesn't run. ( Don't know if that has anything to do with it )
  14. Slightly different questions. Why do you need to extract it to a temp dir first? What advantage does it give you? Also i am getting a Restart reponse after installing it. ( I install it via cmdline ) does any one know how to get rid of it?
  15. Ok..... Third time editing ><" I am trying to find the option/setting/value to add in OOBEINFO.INI, so that the user can enter their User name / Computer name. But even after reading the .ref.chm it still didn't help. None of the Option description descripbe what i need. So does any one know or have any pointers?
  16. The two problem that i still don't know how to solve with Autoit. I try to install ICQ 5 without banner. Because the default ICQ / Silent Switch will install ICQ banner no matter what. 1. But there is no way to acces the option not to install ICQ banner via Keyboard ( Tab ). And i don't want to use Mouse event. So i am wondering if this can possibly be done in any other way? Another Soloution is to make a SFX folder of ICQToolbar with a 0-byte toolbaru.dll. This will fool ICQ setup to think toolbar is already installed. ( Which leads to my 2nd Questions. ) 2. ICQ Does not change its title during its setup. ( Same for Mess patch ). And i have no way to know when it finish copying file. And my current method is to set Sleep(60000). Which is not very effective. Does any one know any other technique to over come this?
  17. Opps. I forgot to point that out ^^"......... Yes and No. because it didn't work on my Nlited Disc or my Orginal Slipstreamed Disc. I had ancient WinXP source on my HD. ( The only thing i remember i did with it was Slipstreamed SP2 ) I try to install on my VM with my Winnt.sif and it didn't work either. So my source of XP must be Corrupted/Damaged.
  18. Thanks for all your input. I Try every possible soloution and none of them work. Like many post in MSFN about EAST Asian language unable to install , the problem is a total Mystery. However i finally got down to Take out my orginal Windows CD again. And start remaking everything. And it works this time. SO for those who couldn't install East Asian language Automatically. Try Starting from the very very beginning. Hope this helps.
  19. I have try quite possibly All combination of input in WinNT.sif [RegionalSettings] and still could not get it to install Automatically. The only thing i haven't try is What M$ has said on its webpage. I have no idea how to do this. But according to this post HERE this will only copy the lang folder and when you install it no longer require the CD. i.e It won't Auto install East Asian Language Support. i have on my previous post ask but since the topic title does no longer reflect the topic i open up this thread. i want to thanks Takeshi for all his help in my previous thread although i am still out of luck trying to get it to work. So any one who has a Sucessful attempt on sliently installing EAL please post the method you use or your Winnt.sif Thanks.
  20. @VAD: Sorry but what is the difference between your soloution and his? ( when you both are referring to the same article ) Anyway i have the same problem with regional Setting.><
  21. Wow, i must say a lot has changed since i last tested it. Thanks echap for this great software. I hope it will continue to improve!
  22. What do you mean? ICQ 5 = newer version based on ICQ lite. Or do you mean something else?
  23. Sorry but is this what you put in YOUR Winnt.sif?? And it work? Because no matter what i try, nlited WinXP or not. I still could not get it to install CJK languages. And yes!. I have done it before!. Except this time i am having a WinXp SP2 instead of SP1. What am i doing wrong? I am getting increasingly frustrated, because this disk took me nearly a month to make already........
