Any idea how do use it when slipstream... i.e i don't want to carry the same procedure everytime i install window.

I just wanted to ask something........... but i thought different languages only have EXTRA files, so Shrink Office would only remove the english version files. ?? Or am i wrong?

After doing some reading it seems the assumtion of a .Net compiler is wrong. As far as i can tell the only tools which come close is here http://www.remotesoft.com/ Which basically pacakge the Program required .Net framework files into a .exe file However this tools is not free, and according to website it will only have a trial version in Mid may.... Orginally i was planning to write a similar tools as nlite in Java. But you beat me to it. ^^

from what i can remember there is a tool where you can compile .Net C# into native compilation. But i can't remember where i read about it.

I am trying to find out which files are not needed in my installation of Office so i can strip down Outlook... etc......... I have created a Admin INstall Point on my HD. Is there any program that could monitor which files in the folder where being touched or copied during the installation?

Well actually i did, but after more searching it seems the thread is listed under Unattend Window..............( Where i thought everything would be window related )

So far as i have read is that i will need create a Admin install point and use opk to produce a mst file creating a slient install of Office 2k3. However this will mean a full Admin install point has to be included. And say if i don't install Access, Outlook and Publisher. These installation file will be a waste of space. Does any body know any thing to strip it out?

It strike me that still not many people are using Bitcomet. I use bitcomet and i think it is very good. Light in resources. However some say it is slow, some say it is fast. Depending on your network config.

The one and only reason i currently use a theme is because this theme provide something i really like. That is the start menu. The start menu is similar to the New Windows Xp start menu except all the "Word" on the right hand side colum aren't ther; such as My computer... Run, Search... Control Panel This makes the Start menu look slim as the classic and provide all the function of the new Xp start menu. But does any body know how to edit it to be like that on the classic theme by editing .dll or similar methods??

IS it possible to add delete Temp directary after the creation of the CDroot folder. Because most of the time it stoped after there because i do not have enough space to create the ISO file. And the temp is something near 1Gb Big!.

OH god......... Although after playing around and reading a bit. MSN Messanger 6.2 doesn't seems to offer any "new" features. However it does uses less resources which is a good point. But this release also add options that are ticked by default for MSN toolbar. How would i untick them in a slient install?

Sorry i am a total noob and this may seems a stupid question. I am not 100% sure on this but XPcreate will Slipstream all hotfixes and Direct X 9 into the XP installation files. I use the word slipstream, not intergate it and uses some config files to run these hotfixes after installation. Am i correct in this? So once everything is finished with Xpcreate i will use the mothod in unattended guide which uses XP deploy tools to generate a winint.sif which has all the XP installation required information and Add the command with switches at the end of deploy tools for the application that i want it installed. Is there anything wrong with my steps or concept? Once i get all this done may be i should read more and write up a guide for total newbies..

yeah... sorry ... I did it 7 times today already and keep on getting errors so i never really got to the last stage. I remember i had to manually delete it myself but i just cound't find where on the webpage i read it. May be i wasn't reading it carefully enough. I did gosh method first and then batch files. Now i am using Xpcreate & xphotfix to intergate/slipstream these hotfix and Direct X into it. The only problem i have is that the latest patch from m$ is coursing problem. But i could manully delete 835732 myself. Hopefully this should work. If i have any problem i may be post here again.

I use Gosh method to extract the installation folder and uses you.bat files to remove most of the features i don't want. However after i click finish off, the driver folder is still there put there is no SP1 folder. And there is a driver.cab files. So is it save to delete the driver folder? And i read on another thread that you are going to create a bat files that basically does gosh reducing size of souce?

Sorry, but does the output "install" folder include "Lang" folder inside i386? Because i could not get it down to 338 Mb. And it seems if i take out the "Lang" folder it would be just about right.

I follow Gosh guide but my install folder is still 448Mb ( From orginal 513 Mb ). Still no where near 330 Mb as Gosh said. ( I have had SP1 slipstreamed in the orginal, would that be the reason? )

After spending nearly half a day reading i got to a point where i have so much quesitons in my head and need answering before i could move on. Using Jdeboeck .bat file ----------- If i Remove Help and support .... etc. Will i be unable to open Help (i.e .chm) files? If i remove Windows Media Player, will the Codec still be there? ( But since it is oudated it seems i need to install a separte WM9 Video And Audio codec anyway ) If i took out all the accesories from the installation folder with jdeboeck .bat file. Will i still need to add calculator = 0 command.......... etc in the unattend.txt? ( Since thery are removed already.......) The .bat file removes a all entertainment and accessories. But what if i want back Calculator and Volume Control? Are there alternative program which you use? I mean how can you do without volume control? Others----------------- Since there are so many lungages in the folder. And i only want a few such as Korean, Janpanes for viewing Anime related site. So i wanted to keep these lanaguges only so i could further reduce the size of the source, But any one have any recourses on which file is which? ( Since there is quite alot in there ) The answer doesn't have to be long. Just simple quick answer will do. Thx in advance.

Is there any way to keep it stay there? In Explorer ( not internet explorer but normal HD navigation ) I normal click folder everytime i open a folder. But this is getting annoying so i wonder if there is any registry hack to keep it as it is.

Yea, what i meant was remove iexplore.exe. But i don't understand is, if explore.exe could act as a web browser that what is the difference? And so in theory if i remove iexplore.exe Window update should still open up in explore.exe.? ( I am a MyIE user, so i just wish those program would open up in MyIE rather than IE. )
