  1. Tetrapro, I think you`re messing up things more and more. We tried to explain, that nLite creates $OEM$-Folder(s) and a "cmdlines.txt" itself like that: [Commands] "rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection nLite.inf,U" If you use "DriverPacks after nLite, it (maybe) adds a line to "cmdlines.txt": [Commands] "ROE.exe 937" "rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection nLite.inf,U" If you overwrite the "cmdlines.txt" with this one [COMMANDS] "RunOnceEx.cmd" "tweaks.cmd" "bootlogo.cmd" instead od adding lines you`ll destroy setup-process. Youre "runonceex.cmd" should look like this: cmdow @ /HID @Echo Off FOR %%i IN (D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z) DO IF EXIST %%i:\win51ip.SP3 SET CDROM=%%i: SET PP=%cdrom%\Software SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx REG ADD %KEY% /V TITLE /D "Install Progs" /f REG ADD %KEY%\004 /VE /D "Example" /f REG ADD %KEY%\004 /V 1 /D "%PP%ExampleFolder\example.exe /Silent" /f EXIT And I think, that your "tweaks.cmd" and "bootlogo.cmd" are executed too early, you better execute them by RunOnceEx than by "cmdlines.txt", so they run after first logon, when they can write also to HKCU.
  2. I`m not sure...but maybe you use nLite to remove all drivers and then integrate the drivers you need?

  4. There is no relation between "OEM" and "$OEM$" - but both folders are important. Don`t change anything inside until you exactly know what you`re doing. Follow "johnhc`s" instructions about the "cmdlines.txt".
  5. VL = Volume Licence has no other options than a regular XP Pro.

  7. It is possible to edit the "winnt.sif" manually after nLite. Use Google with "winnt.sif", "Autopartition" and "Repartition". But take care of your data - "whole disk" means WHOLE disc.
  8. This is "High Definition Audio" - in XP x32 with only SP2 the KB888111 is needed. Maybe this is a solution for XP x64: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/901105/en
  9. First of all: you will loose all data on these harddrives, please backup on external HDD or DVD. You`ve got to learn a little bit about RAID, especially RAID Level 0 > Wikipedia You need special driver to get your OS installed on a RAID, which aren`t in genuine XP. You need to figure out which hardware (chipset) you`ve got and get the drivers. You can integrate them in yor XP-Source with nLite > http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=89

  11. How was SP3 slipstreamed? Even MS says, that under Vista-Environment fails, so you got to do this with XP. This happens with "classic" integration and with nLite.

  14. Please differ between Installation and Backup. You can`t save your installed XP to an Installation-Disc, you can BackUp this Install. Tools were mentioned by "-X-". To install with all your wanted programs and settings you need to read and learn through all this forum - it`s possible, like I do.
  15. I`m unsure how to handle with Topics containing "VLK, Corporate, Volume-Editions" here @ MSFN. I`m owner and Admin @ www.german-winlite.de , the german nLite-Support-Forum. We always reject any topics about that due to german laws and nLite-License. If a user owns a VLK, he maybe breaks nLite-license > rejected If a user has a VLK in private use, maybe it`s leaked (or something else...) > rejected How do I have to handle it at MSFN? Edit1: Adding "Pirated Editions" like "MikroXP" and others. Edit2: Yes, I`ve read the RULES.

  17. Have a look at "%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download". Maybe there are a lot of files, long filenames with numbers, without extension. Try to add an extension .cab and unpack them with WinRar. This is not always possible, but mostly it works.

  21. Meaning is, that it`s possible - but not the best solution. And there`s no need for integrate more than one SP. I`ve done a lot of tests since SP3 v.3311, it`s proofed.
  22. I think it has got to run in "RunOnceEx", not "RunOnce". This is NOT at T-13, it runs when the User is logged on, but before Desktop has completly loaded.
  23. I didn`t talk about INSTALLING SP3 in this thread, just about SLIPSTREAMING. You can slipstream SP3 into RTM (SP0) - I do this since SP3 v.3311 was released, no problem. If you need to install SP3 on a running system, first SP1 or SP2 is needed, not both. SP1, SP2, then SP3 in order is neither needed in Slipstreaming nor Installation.

    Maybe you`re wrong. Example: 1) create "D:\Firefox_Addon\svcpack" (don`t work on the desktop) 2) put "firefox_installer.exe" to "svcpack" 3) create an entries.ini (not .inf) with the needed info and switches in "Firefox_Setup" (beside "svcpack") 4) create an archive by choosing ONLY "entries.ini" and "svcpack" with 7z/WinRar (inside "Firefox_Addon") 5) integrate this archiv "Firefox_Addon.7z" with nLite as hotfix Done. Edit: An "entries.ini" should look like this: [general] builddate=2008/03/30 description=für Win XP/w2k/w2k3 language=Deutsch title=Dein Programmname version=1.0 website=http://www.german-nlite.org [EditFile] I386\SVCPACK.INF,SetupHotfixesToRun,AddProgram [AddProgram] installer.exe /switch
  25. I wonder if your "runonceex.cmd would run, cause it`s searching for the wrong file. It`s got to be SP3 due to you integrate SP3. It`s a little bug of "RunOnceEx-Creator", which is a bit outdated.
