  1. Okay, then it`s your turn. Please report so others can benefit.
  2. I often listen @ http://www.radio-soundwelle.de/news.php It`s a german online-radio - sometimes I moderate myself there.
  3. Dear JayDogg, I understood that. So I wrote to solve your problem in a clean way - it would be much easier.
  4. This HotfixPack at RyanVM can be integrated with nLite into XP-SP3 - look at the NOTES.
  5. You said, you`d like to use "RunOnceEx", so here are 2 guides: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/31/ http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/v...cbd0b3e1d26678/
  6. As I mentioned before: I delete Tour with nLite, nLite.inf looks like that: HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Tour","RunCount",0x00010001,0
  7. The answer to all is - nLite.
  8. If you don`t want that, it won`t be "quick" - you`ll never get a really clean install. You can start from scratch and load your "Last Session.ini" - and this time you can control the foldersizes. After that you can copy your OEM-Sources again into that folder and burn your ISO.
  9. Maybe i didn`t catch the problem? If I delete "MS Tour" with nLite (like "JayDogg" did) I don`t need any Regs - the Tour is gone. The XPCD is shrinked by ~19mb.
  10. Sorry, you didn`t tell us about your $OEM$-Folder. When you start right from the beginning (wittout any OEM-Stuff) your XPCD-Folder should be about 588mb (~ original size of XP-SP3). After run nLite with your "Last Session.ini" it should be smaller, about 563mb (~ 19mb removed).
  11. John, I don`t agree with this. It is much safer to let nLite do that job. It`s because of the "Hidden Files" - most people have activated this feature, so maybe it ends up in missing files.
  12. To get a XPCD-SP3 for Repair start from scratch and integrate SP3 in your XP-SP2. Only integrate SP3 and burn ISO - nothing more!
  13. JayDogg, I loaded and ran your "Last Session.ini". Your folder should be at least 563mb - the original should be 588mb.
  14. Not exactly. As an Install you need to install SP1, then directly SP3. There`s no need to install SP2 between. I know it`s corious, but true. To see if a XPCD is pre-prepared by OEM-Manufacturer you can look for "I386\winnt.sif"-File. It`s the "Unattended-File" - in a genuine XPCD it isn`t present.
  15. I even don`t know exactly, why MS made this restriction to SP3-Install - but is`s like that. But you made a few steps before with nLite, so now it`s time for the next steps. 1.) Integrate SP3 in your RTM-Source and give it atry in your VM 2.) Integrate Hotfixes or Hotfix-Packs, take look at RyanVM §.) Integrate Drivers
  16. Welcome @ MSFN-Forums! Please have a look at the Regtweaks-Database.
  17. A little overview of $OEM$: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/18/ Not explained is how to copy a shortcut to startmenu, so here we go. First of all you might use this pre-prepared $OEM$-structure: http://www.german-winlite.de/wbb/index.php...D=6982#post6982 Don`t mind the thread is german - the structure of the folders is the same. Only use it as an example. "$OEM$\$DOCS\Default User" is the basic folder for every new user who logs on. To put files or links there means every new user gets this in his own "Documents & Settings". The folderstructure in $OEM$ is like that in "Documents & Settings", so if we put "MyProg.lnk" into folder "$OEM$\$DOCS\Default User\Startmenu\MyOwnFolder" it will exist in Startmenu for every User.
  18. That`s right - once you have started like this you only need to add the new hotfixes in your "My_Hotfixes"-Folder and keep your list up-to-date. But if you start NOW right from scratch it would be a lot of work - but only this time.
  19. Welcome @ MSFN-Forums! Sorry about my re-question, but why don`t you use $OEM$-Method for that? It would be quiet easier to build the structure and links.
  20. It is stored in "I386\nlite.in_" - this file got to be expanded, try THIS to do it: http://www.german-winlite.de/wbb/index.php...12571#post12571 You`ll find a key like this in it (this is from my own XPCD): HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce","nlite_post_11",0x00000000,"nhelper net1 user """"Nicole"""" /add /fullname:""Nicole"" /comment:""Nicole"""
  21. Not a joke - I`m sorry. "ADI = Analog Devices Inc" - I didn`t know that.
  22. Thanks for reply, good luck to you! BTW: Isn`t it called "ATI" instead of "ADI"?
  23. Welcome @ MSFN-Forums! Talking about "some .ini-files" - I guess you worked with nLite. There`s a special forum HERE (maybe some Mod moves this topic). If you have once created an user with nLite on that XP working folder, it won`t be deleted in another "run-against-the-same-source" (see my signatur). If you`re unable to start with a fresh source, I would do the XP-Install with that XPCD and delete User "Steve Strong" later.
  24. Toddy86, I hope everything will turn out right. If it works, please post again exactly your Hardware-ID with description, please give us a link to that driver you found (or load it up somewhere) and maybe edit the title of this thread, so other users can find it and benefit. THX for your reporting.
  25. I just realized I never took chance to present "German-WinLite" here. Former known as "German-nLite.de" and "German-nLite.org" we changed a few month ago to "German-WinLite.de" due to the fact that we not only support "nLite", we had a change of hosting sever, too. You`re welcome! g-force, Admin
