Um sounds like your recovery cds installs more than 7.92gb of crap. lol I would not use that pos. Instead just download winme boot disk: www.bootdisk.com Then just run fdisk and create paritions you want. Then enter winxp cd and run setup and it will see your empty partitons. Pick the one you want to install windows on to and it will then format it and make sure you pick ntfs of course.

I personlly would go with win2k unless you like all the gaphics and have a decent grahpics card and no onboard s***. I have both xp pro. sp2 and win2k sp4 on old P3 600mhhz 256mbPC133 and win2k is at least 15% faster all around. And thats after doing about 2000 tweaks on both. Defragging hard drive, etc. Plus I dont care about the grahpics and its not a gamming rig so. So really if its not for gamming and dont care about grahpics I would go with win2k.
