  1. Well first off just drop tthe OEAccess line as thats not need. Never need On ones for default applications like Outlook Express as of course by default its On.
  2. Guys make sure you have SP1 installed for Virtual PC 2004. Here Virtual PC 2004 SP1 is about 15% faster than VMWare 5.0. Before installing SP1, yes it was very slow.
  3. Thats what hidec.exe is for. No window at all. See: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...84&hl=hidec.exe
  4. Nice IM. lol
  5. Thats because it's an old one: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en Date Published: 6/13/2005 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes but the link given by Stuntgp2000 sets an update to August : http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/MS05-032.mspx It's probably just the informations on the page or something, but not the patch itself. So it is not new. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah see: V2.0 (August 9, 2005): Microsoft updated this bulletin to advise customers that a revised version of the security update is available for x64-based systems, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for Itanium-based Systems, and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with SP1 for Itanium-based Systems. Thats all.

  9. Seems a lot more complicated to me.
  10. Yeah I am wondering why domain seems to be the default. And no way to change to local pc.
  11. Download a hacked sfc_os file to remove windows file protection then you can deletre it.
  12. Well I did that but did not work. However I then deleted the temp folders created by vista, over 1gb in size on C: drive, vista was on F drive, and old boot menu automaticly kicked in. I was just afraid I would kill windows by doing that. Guess not.
  13. Well just did a complete uninstall and tired again. And again can not login. Even tried on different partiton on different hard disk. Anyone have any ideas?
  14. just copy msconfig from winxp over to win2k...
  15. k thanks...just did not want to kill my win...
  16. Here is how I do it: ECHO Installing AdMuncher ECHO. start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\AdMuncher\AdMuncher.exe /S /I:"%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Ad Muncher\AdMuncher.amc" /P:"%ProgramFiles%\Ad Muncher" Now you might be wondering what is AdMuncher.amc ? Well open Ad Muncher prefs and tools, then load/save config and save your config as AdMuncher.amc .
  17. Hey, I am wondering how I can change the Default OS for the new boot menu. I already edited boot.ini to make my WinXP the default OS but on the new menu Win Vista is still the default. But now when clicking legancy mode, winxp is now the default OS since I removed longhorn from it. Which was not even needed in the first place since running from the old, legancy screen, does not work. You have to run loghorn from the new one. Its just annorying have loghorn the defult OS. Thanks, Will
  18. Hey, Well was running Windows XP Pro. SP2. So then I installed Windows Vista B1 on my second partition. Well it installed fine and took me to the logon screen and when I try to login it says it cant connect to the domain. So whats up with that? And its the Windows Security screen that shows the error. Something like cant connect to specified domain beacuse it does not exist. The thing is, I never specified a domain. Never had a problem like this before, ever. Anyone have any ideas? And yes I already tried reinstalling. Three times now. Thanks, Will Resloved!
  19. yeah i know i just want to get back to english...i made a backup of the files but they fanshed since i had to do a system restore..should have saved them on other drive...
  20. Well would love to get back to english but dont want to replace filles untill I know its save. Can someone just confirm its save?
  21. That would depend on Gurgelmeyer. For now its delayed. Win2K is main project ATM.
  22. Nice one! Dang, too bad editing it, in any way, kills custom entries in the registry.
  23. Nice one! BTW maybe you should change the name of the rar to include the date. So like: Registry_Tweaks_July_31_2005.rar cya, Will Um in the file it still says: --== Version 1.8b ==-- ; Created By: John Cronk aka "Johnny Do" ; j-cronk@writeme.com ; Created Sep 13, 2004 ; Last Updated: April 02 2005 It should be: --== Version 1.8c ==-- ; Created By: John Cronk aka "Johnny Do" ; j-cronk@writeme.com ; Created Sep 13, 2004 ; Last Updated: July 31 2005 Also, forgot to say about these two: ;Remove Print From PHP Files [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TextPad.php\shell\print] ;Remove Print From PDF Files [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\FoxitReader.Document\shell\print] They are only generic and depend on your default editor. So they have to change the TextPad.php and FoxitReader.Document to their default editor. So maybe change in file to: ;Remove Print From PHP Files (Change AppName, To Name Of Default App For File Type) [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppName.php\shell\print] ;Remove Print From PDF Files (Change AppName, To Name Of Default App For File Type) [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppName.Document\shell\print] Also you added two of: ;Remove Print From Internet Shortcut [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\InternetShortcut\shell\print] s***, in fact you added them all twice. lol And in change log.
