  2. Ben, how close do you think you are from stable release? Stable as in non-RC, cause current RC is stable enough. Maybe I shall say "final" instead.
  3. But of course. To each his own. But you know what - having only one theme is not very good. And when people get used to it, replacing it with other really sucks. Why can't we keep the old one(s)?
  4. Well, I should have added "in my opinion/eyes". Sorry about ranting. For some reason I cannot see the button to mark the forums read at all. No idea why (there is slight chance I am blind today, but I don't think so). edit: jeez. ok. I AM blind (Insert facepalm emote here) On the other hand, it doesn't even look like a button and is almost hidden at the bottom of the screen. Guess it could use some cisual tweaking.
  5. When I opened the forums today I noticed completely different theme. It's horrible. How do I get back the the previous one? edit: The link to mark the forums read is gone. There is no theme I could select anywhere. The options are chaotic. Seriously, if it works, don't fix it.
  6. There are other projects people work on in their free time and they don't ask (periodically even) for any donations, so I don't see your point.
  7. Ben stopped bothering coming here, pointless to ask.
  8. A simple question: what is the reason for ATI drivers not working? Is it because the .inf files are missing strings that identify specific boards, like my father's Gigabyte one? Btw: 890GX board is supposed to have 700-line southbridge, right? I am asking because when I played around with the drivers, I was able to use driver from the directory where 600 southbridge drivers were, which is weird as hell.
  9. Blue, I hope you are doing well even if you are not working on 7C at the moment :) Of course we all hope you will find time and strength to finish this awesome piece of software. You still have bunch of faithful followers here :)

  10. Did you actually read my post? About 10cm above yours. 1.5.0 is out already. I guess the stable version will be 1.6.0 at the earliest.
  11. Ben gave up on the community here it seems. http://www.rtwincustomize.net/web/index.php?/topic/6915-rt-seven-lite-rc-build-v150-and-beta-build-v240/page__pid__56893#entry56893 RT Seven Lite - RC build v1.5.0 and Beta build v2.4.0
  12. Blue changed his profile not to show last active date. Wth?
  13. Bookmarking this thread because I recently had problem with my father's new PC It was Gigabyte board with 890GX chipset, and the **** drivers from 10.8 Catalyst wouldn't work! I had to download something older from Gigabyte's web
  14. Has anyone heard from Blue again since he briefly showed up month ago?
  15. Ben, can you tell me if you made any testing/changes related to my requests/problems please?
  16. Where is Ben? Hasn't replied for quite some time.
  17. So we will have the normal blueish skin back at some point, right?
  18. I like Adobe Reader lite, but it's very hard to find newer versions and then you need to make sure the installed doesn't contain some malware Tried Foxit and didn't like it at all. It might be small and fast, but it sucks.
  19. It's probably not the solution you want, but how hard would it be to punish the student who breaks the PC up again? Obviously when you come up to a PC and it's malfunctioning, it should be easy to tell who was sitting there last. Also, why do you let them bring USB sticks in the first place?
  20. Just because a manufacturer says you need 600W or somethin PSU it doesn't necessarily make it so. This whole marketing bul***** about PSUs is dumb as brick. Very roughly said, unless you run VGA cards in SLI and have dozen of other devices, you don't need anything over 500 at all. I have C2D CPU, 4GB RAM, two hard disk, extra network and soundcard, Radeon 5850, and even the 425W PSU I have is huge overkill.
  21. Both the XLR and TRS inputs are ballanced, right. I found a photo of the back side. so are you saying that in my case adding some device on the way to the speakers is somewhat pointless? I don't mind analog way as long as the quality of the signal is not getting screwed up. It all started by me getting annoyed with having to control the volume from Windows, which sucks. Since the speakers are active, there is no point in adding an amplifier, so...
  22. I have Auzentech X-Fi Forte soundcard and Tapco S8 speakers. Currently I connect the speakers with lousy RCA cables, which gives me all kinds of sound distortion. Receiving a SMS is like an assault on my ears. I would like to use some ballanced cabling, but the trouble is that along with standard analog output the soundcard has SPDIF connector and that's it. Sadly the speakers do not support that. They have connectors for either RCA or XLR or TRS. I would like to check whether there is a way to connect them in the way I want. I am everything but expert about audio, so the description is probably very amateurish-dumb looking.
  23. Oh and also, is it possible to add further customization of task bar/start menu? For example specifying whether some items open up as a menu (default behavior is not to, I think).
  24. not saving!! check it in RT 7 Lite directory\Preset folder P.S: Remember preset will be saved only when the task is completely accomplished and not in the middle of the progress Yes I understand. But on the main/fist screen I clicked on the button and checked to save preset. I specified path and file name, and it didn't save. In RT7's directory there is Lastsession1.inf, but that is not what I wanted
  25. Oh, and as before, presets can't be saved. Hm.
