  1. i think the same as you, i've read all the time how people ask something like if the search button don't exists, but you lose all the points when you say "lazy son of a dog" this forum it's not based on insults and specially if he is a newbie here and probably he haven't read the forum rules that i recommend both to read. It's good of you, SiMoNsAyS. If we can't guide or help people, we don't have to hurt their feelings in any way. You're completely right. Newbies to this site must be guided in a polite way.
  2. If scanning reveals nothing, then you have to FORMAT your system drive. This must solve your problem.
  3. Aubs_UK Till I get infected , I should thank you for reglite. Really nice app.
  4. I haven't got it yet. But, I'll save your post to my disk, just in case.
  5. Lsass.exe is not removed, it's fixed after a reboot. I had the same problem two months ago. The above two files solved it.
  6. I can't get the point.
  7. If someone still has this problem: 1- Download and run this diagnostic & removal tool: http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/e...1720-ENU-V4.exe You must reboot your PC, afterwards. 2- Download and run this update after the reboot (I used with XP): http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/1...732-x86-ENU.EXE
  8. Good. I didn't know it.
  9. We use CD to tell wscript.exe the Current Directory of JS. Also, take care of this (in red) if you have a non-English WinXP: copy %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\Winamp\Winamp.ini "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Winamp\"
  10. I think you forgot to add this entry to your batch: CD %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\Winamp\ So, JS can't know where to be guided to winamp.exe! (line 13)
  11. 1- netfx.msi 2- netfx1.cab He can proceed with those two files only. What else? He can run the MSI manually to test if it's corrupted. He can open the CAB in an archiving utility. If it's opened, then it's not corrupted. If both are not corrupted and he's still asked to insert a disk, then he should do as I said. If so, then it's a MSI issue! If you don't like my solution, then insert the disk. BTW: Is netfx1.cab in the same directory? HUH!
  12. ONLY in case of overwriting, /f is necessary. Can I really insert a string twice in the same script I'm writing? Yes?! Then, I'm drunk.
  13. Yes, I have a license for Partition Magic 8. I've got gdisk, too. These are proved to be usable.
  14. AcroPro.msi /QR REGEDIT /S acro.reg acro.reg has your serial. Try both the original and the encrypted serials, one at a time. I don't remember which one works. However, this is not the way I configure it. I use this method: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=122609
  15. No such a switch for a MSI: /Reboot=Suppress. Use it without a slash. So, this is the correct line: /qn Reboot=Suppress For Daemon, this works for me: /qn Reboot=ReallySuppress This works, too: /qb REBOOT=Suppress If you have problems with 3.44, you'd better download 3.46! For .NET Framework 1.1, copy it from your CD to HD first, then install it from there. _______________________________________ I can't understand why people are using those /fs! Is there something in the registry to be overwritten?!
  16. ouve...all these complaints about BartPE. works for some and doesn't work for other.. it can't be...when it comes to work ... sorry ... i want a straightforward thing. yes, fdisk is the simplest. no problems at all with fdisk for all people in all situations. i've used it since i started to breathe computers. but it can't be automated.
  17. Thanks. I'll read about it and see.
  18. Does it do the multi-partition thing on a newly bought HDD?
  19. Well! I think a SFX is not a good solution if your app throws keys to the registry. As mentioned in your first post, you'd need a very short and simple script to install your app. At least, you won't worry about reg keys or uninstallation afterwards.
  20. yeah...and how many persons can have this WinPE? It's not really for persons! So, the final decision is: Make It Manually. This is fast and safe.
  21. I think your IFs are correct, Bâshrat the Sneaky. But, for multiple partitions on a newly bought HD, I think it can't be done unattendedly. I'm interested in doing this if it's possible. It should save much time if you're preparing new PCs.
  22. textsetup?! and dosnet?! OH GOD! Email me. Or you'd better ask bush, sorry gosh. Tour de Lance? Have you left bones?
  23. You can GHOST it!
  24. If you mean dividing a new hard disk into partitions for the first time, I doubt it. It's nearly impossible as I think. This requires user intervension.
  25. Try this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=21475
