  1. i'm lmao at this one. a program called 'crap cleaner', distributing crap to its users. shark
  2. You're welcome your gripe is solved as simply as this, within the program go to: Options/Preferences/File Types then place a check in the box for "Show Winamp in folder context..." It is unchecked by default because my gripe is to many applications place themselves into the context menu without your approval. Thankfully, winamp gives the user the option. shark
  3. I dont use bsplayer, so i dont know its install path. correct that in the reg file accordingly. The 1st line erases the current .avi setting, the second part sets bsplayer as the default program to open the file, and the 3rd part is the path to the file to use to open the avi. NOTE: reg files must end with a blank line to be functional. shark
  4. A better option is to prevent its creation in the 1st place. Using the proper switch during hotfix installation will stop it from being created. use the switch /nobackup to prevent its creation. shark
  5. you're welcome shark
  6. These are the backup files used for/by WFP (windos file protection) shark
  7. *removed* shark
  8. try this to bypass the need for setupx.exe shark
  9. This is for x86 ONLY Here is a switchless installer for the February Update. You must have SP2 integrated or previously installed DirectX9.0c Installation from T-13/12/9 supported. Get it here (11.2meg) the small filesize is because i removed the original Directx 9.0c files along with x64 support. shark
  10. *removed* shark
  11. You need modified sfx modules to extract to a specific location. Check here shark
  12. My sentiments exactly. shark
  13. you're welcome. the handholding is just about done. You mention network drivers, which do install around T-32 These would be my 1st suspect. Replace the OemPnPDriversPath in winnt.sif but remove the network drivers from the source files. Remove the entire 010_broadcom_nic folder and any other nic drivers you have. Possibly, your drivers arent for your exact nic or something like that. Have fun troubleshooting and enjoy the forums, see ya shark
  14. The following post has prepared switchless installers. POST shark
  15. My release of 5.2(final) will include the modern skin. shark
  16. Attached is the INF from windows media connect 2. It executes files (with arguments) shark
  17. Its a driver conflict/error of some sort. Again, take out the OemPnPDriversPath. shark
  18. My next suggestion would be to eliminate OemPnPDriversPath from winnt.sif to see if its caused by a driver file, or a bad inf. also, i have seen this caused by a corrupt file on the harddrive within the installation source files. An easy way to eliminate this possibilty is to COPY (not move) the entire compilation elsewhere (hopefully a diff hdd) and create the ISO from there. shark
  19. Extracted from WINNT.SIF the above executes @T-39 , possibly, if you're using this, there is an error in your command / path / filename / file itself etc. shark
  20. I use WINNT.SIF to setup/install any driver. Extracts from winnt.sif: comment - OemPnPDriversPath is populated @T-39 using a selfextracting file containing all my drivers placed on the CDrom in $OEM$\$1\drivers.exe - this is set to extract the drivers to %systemdrive%\drivers\ All my display/sound/printer etc. drivers are installed properly this way. Just remember that OemPnPDriversPath must lead to the drivers INF file. NOTE: running the manufacturers 'setup.exe' IS NOT REQUIRED to install a driver. you will need to EXTRACT the files from the manufacturers distributed package. shark
  21. I dont believe it. Would you be able to post an example? Microsoft Source shark
  22. Uninstall any previous version through Add/Remove programs. This installation doesnt change previous settings. There is a checkbox under Tools/Options/Messages to 'Show the Handwriting...' I suggest you look there. Also, I have updated the Installer again because the Handwiting feature was missing the SEND tab. Download it again today if you downloaded it yesterday. shark
  23. glad you have found it useful, thanks shark
  24. Updated to 7.5.0324 - see 1st post. shark
  25. @ T-13/12/9 the %userprofile% doesn't exist yet. you need a 'logged in user' to have a %userprofile% at best, this variable would default to the "Default User' folder at these stages of installation. the %allusersprofile% is however available. try running your batch file by runounce or runonceex instead of T-12. shark
