  1. // -- This posting is for update purposes and will be so often edited as needed or possible Now the page http://www.chriskuhli.de is there! The URL http://www.chriskuhli.de/x2k/ contains all related to this both projects (special section of framed site above). Other contents of my homepage may change, but that URLs above not! Additional page is http://customwin2000.org an additonal domain with further resources not only related to Windows 2000!
  2. Case of using earlier IE as ver7 / WMPv11, you have maybe need additional switches after the "/S" for disable their patching (Read expert infos of actual XPize manual)! 2nd? After your installation, is the XPize(Darkside) really bare? Or are the additinals only not enabled?
  3. Hello! @GUIRunOnce: First logon of install, immediately after the settings of Internet Explorer are set programs will be ran... The shutdown command is a bad idea... Another point is servicepack. Its usual recommend to have an actualized Windows (Slipstreamed SP2, Hotfixes optional). Greetings, Chris
  4. On my last days which i can surf from home i got in trouble with TClock3! (1.3.0 i took this night) I ought to boot in failsafe to disable Taskbar skinning via deinstall that tool via your Maintenance Center! Reloader does makes sense here only a few anymore...
  5. Hello! For installation silent this pack need possibly appropiate options I will be a very unlucky man if that will happen what wrote in actual thread of XPize forum... Bye, Chris
  6. The package cX2K does a lot of modification and wants to be a tool thats compatible with nLite. Like XPize working and derivated of its source this shellpackage tries to modify Windows 2000 for a look and feel of Media Center Edition style. The XIS pack XPize4Win2K is the very small sister of cX2K which direction is as most modest as the tool above. Simplified in working and features its done to the bone so much slimmer and stable... Although slowly development there are downloads available. Please stand by while i update.
  7. Hmm rdt, did you chosen a method of patching before clicking "next"? Either is "Creating ISO..." or "Normal installation..."
  8. Hello dude(s)! I have a (new?) issue... It's related to logonui.exe. After a little experimenting with deinstall - testing other pack(s) and back to yours the modification is reverted so i've the original XP style and i can not get the Vista style of the logon - neither if reinstall!
  9. Hello Damian666 You made a very fine work dude! Now i have a very stylish Windows XP But one little issue is in german translation, the changing of following strings in sysdm.cpl: - dutch "Organizatie" is in german "Organisation" - dutch "geactiveerd" in german is "aktiviert" - the representation of englisch "Physical Adress Extension", german "Physikalische Adresserweiterung" doesn't fit, i mean i read only the first word. BTW the debug.txt in the directory where i ran the installer is empty??? Thank you and go on so enthusiastic! Chris
  10. Maybe Shelax has another way of humor then you, marxo
  11. Hallo scholle Damian666 recommends uninstall of previous Beta version (Readme can be read during installation Readme). You can download and start it, but before implementing, its safer to remove the older one. Especially the normally enabled protection may help to recover (i don't use that). Greets from a sunny part Germany, Chris
  12. I just installed the actual version 1.2.0! Following text isn't already in german WXP in native language: Windows is geactiveerd <- Windows ist aktiviert Organizatie: <- Organisation Which theme should i use? If if via themes.cpl try to change the visual style i find only standard (and the one i installed with xpize) !
  13. damian666, i just installed the actual version into my WXP! Should i download Vista Luna or VistaCG manually or why is it not found in your install?
  14. Hello again I did a fresh install of Windows XP with SevicePack 2 (without IE6/ WMP9) native on disk beneith of reinstall of my Vista! TBar is not run run automatically after installation and does not skin the taskbar if manual run. The style is not implemented - damian666 told me that the Visual style is not yet enabled in XP... The sysdm.cpl Dialog is also in WinXP_DEU a bit dutch! Vistadrive doesn't run automatically, if manual loaded you have to deinstall it manual otherwise: - after Deinstallation the drive icons aren't back! c ya, Chris
  15. Expert Installation -> Unattended Switches
  16. Maybe nLite -> Unattnded -> GuiRunOnce calling XPize.exe /S until a better way goes
  17. Hello hpj2 Unfortunately it maybe was my fault what happens under german Win2K cause my poor editing in Reshacker months ago C ya Chris
  18. There's another Forum under Unattended Windows Discussion & Support in this Board in which your request can be carefully answered Windows PE
  19. Hmm damian666 again! Did you ever thinking about features that are not ONLY visual? Maybe its needed adding functionality what is needed for compablitiy with newer apps - AND of course only them are doesn't destablity it
  20. Damian could you ever upload newer Screenshots possibly, with skinning enabled? Need them for the thread in the German-nLite Board that i'm maintaining (see my signature)!
  21. Caseof the sysdm.cpl german lang issue: I did one of the first based on a original w2ksp4 dialog and checking against damian changes... Maybe we should diff the resources - so seeing what isn't proper?
  22. Hello damian, i'm lucky Is there anybody outside who likes the /Royale/ flavour of XPize? See next Read a bit about my earlier projects via this thread [cX2K] Advanced Shellpackage - Windows 2000 like Windows XP. I suggest testing the downloadables of the thread URL in a virtualized computer based Windows. Chris
  23. hello fellows i just tried the pack in a nearly fresh W2K install in VPC07. But i get the bluescreen as i mentioned in the early days (scroll pages back). It's the same error so i dont want repost. See #66 and #70! Unfornately i cannot repair, in F8 Menu i tried: Safe Mode VGA Mode Last Known Good No chance to boot... At glance its a Virtual PC - VHD
  24. Hello! As damian666 replied recently here will be a chance to co-develop. Who wants also? Maybe Revolutions Pack could devour ever if such created Tihiy said - BUT we'll see - he is focused on Win9x yet... With damian666 permission i think his installer needs to be a "silent" option or for remotely steering it. Why? Hmm VXK focus is on creating an unattended installation! This should be the best way doing that what i want. VXK should work with nLite in conjunction with Win2K and MAYBE lasi in future WinXP. My Athlon64 poweres also Vista as W2K8 beta3 so developing is easy via VPC2K7 and VMware! Big problem we have are patches/ hotfixes... The time runs away cause ending of extended support this year. But lets collect ideas/ features/ legal resources. E.g. if you have a solution for enable a newer feature to W2K, give it! I'm very interested to add whatever Win2K3 functions to possibly Let's see what will happen Chris
  25. I cant resist that power of Although i create VMs now cause a setting saving failure of my vista i'd have to create a Dark XP But I'm not a fiddler with graphic applications meens i'm artist but more in a technical way. Should i play with the GIMP filters a bit? I try creating an awful wally but have no idea yet. Wait until tomorrow - Perhaps i can derivate it to an alternative bootscreen also
