  1. It might be in conjunction with the doing of kernel patching while doing with the installation source... In situations like that were a good idea having a debug (log) option for testing purposes like damian666 within his Vistapack!
  2. I updated links - the file were moved some days before! Try again @ ChrisKuhli's project cX2K.
  3. Is this possible? Would be very nice! But the partitioning should not be automatized...
  4. Will test @evening when in Vista while the new Nero is here already in Win2K (wont deinstall) please stand by...
  5. Try http://vistapack.christiankuhlmann.eu/Vist...-beta-1.6.0.zip
  6. I tried to load Win2K setup from Vista's PE, what failed. Should i ask in the forum beneith or is my question okay right here? Please help me! Hint: Actually my first 80 GB harddisk is partitioned like this: 1. C: 40 GB - for Vista Ultimate (primary) 2. E: 30 GB - Data Partition (primary ) 3. D: 10 GB - Windows 2000 (logical) How do i keep the data if i make/ do with i a combo installation media? EDIT: Posting might be moved to beneith "Multiboot CD/ DVD(s)"
  7. I would also prefer silent but in full... having it as legal dl since yesterday! btw if i want make for Windows 2000 (with nLite) and for Vista (using vLite), how? or should i create differect application disks for both Windozes?
  8. I think it matters a bit if your OEM made a little modication to the installation source. Can you make a new build from it with nLite, only with servicepack and latest updates (eventually also IE7/ WMP11) ? Could also be a kernel issue (Darkside does patch ntoskrnl.exe/ ntkrnlmp.exe/ ntkrnlpa.exe)!
  9. Aquax, did you loaded the 1.5 as in the actual start post of this topic, or via the official homepage the 1.6 (thats the new mirror link)?
  10. abbhishek: You can load the source code of XIS from the XPize site... Do the same with XPize source... Then, look for the part where the "recall" from nLite is made. From there u can try that. Don't forget to share ur work, i'm interested in the solution!
  11. Hello damian I stay in waiting could place the link to any new @ http://www.customwin2000.org Is it safe to apply your pack on my native installation (beneith to the Vista on my harddisk)? Yes, for developing purposes i've now done very great that i can load Windows 2000 via the Vista's Bootloader and use its benefits on my powerful computer (se the link in my .sig) It flies like an eagle! Or should Vistapack be done and tested in VMware instead using my developer environment? EDIT: Damian cant connect msfn! But he just uploaded his pack to his new mirror! Chris
  12. You can download the guide from XPize site, it contains some useful options for integrating or unattendet install. Integrating: Want you extras? Search a bit in this forum. Otherwise you can use the method from within XPize itself "Patch .iso" or use nLite (functionality is the same).
  13. abbhishek: XIS isn't able of to be slipstreamed... Chris
  14. Hello -I- The decision for Delphi comes of the reason the rock solid ver3 of Delphi Professional enables me fast development cause of my skills... Using the .msi installer is - calling - or full use? Hmm... i'll see look for some examples! Advantage of using natively Delphi calling reshacker: Ability to patch under/ with every Windows that reshacker is able of (e.g. in derivates of 2ize)! Chris
  15. Hello jaclaz, at first thanks . But, how do i with dual boot Vista/ PE a proper installation of Win2K? Both partitions are primary... NOTE: I have to reprepare the PE in its partition (its files and boot record) because i used to reinstall Vista from x64 to x86 yesterday evening (before i asked above)... Will switching drive letters between PE and Vista? The data partition of disk is also primary (between both, there i doesnt want W2K) EDIT: With Diskpart i deleted the useless second primary after activating the Vista part - created the logical for Windows 2000 - so does i already need anything or makes it sense going install it?
  16. @-I-: So i decide to create with the older reshacker like as XPize does until yet. BUT, as i'm very able of Object Pascal/ Borland Delphi so i will use that. Which version - do you think - should i prefer? I've an old Delphi 3 Professional, and Personal of ver 6 and 7. So, 2ize will be an own stream of development which isn't equal to the origin XPize! Philosophy will be - slim, fast but powerful as possible
  17. I did'nt allowed the Windows 2000 setup to make a primary partittion... This was not a very good idea, huh... Setup disk x64 couldnt repare PE, so i decided install Ultimate x86 again! Should i now recreate PE? It is x86... Now i have C start partition Vista , D system partition PE Just at this moment i removed the logical growed D and decided to add Win2K to the PE part of my HDD. Make this sense? Please hurry cause i want create at sunday evening a running system with Windows 2000. EDIT: Now Win2K is in an extended part of disk. data part letter is customized in the devmgmt from within Vista and Win2000
  18. @-I-: Should i purchase for VB 4.0? I've an very old version of VB for Windows 9x in 16/ 32Bit as it was invented in 1995/ 96! Other what i have is VB/VC/V#/VC++ 2005 Express. What should i prefer? Hint: The early alpha's could be dropped BTW this posting is written in Windows 2000 yet which i added in an own partition on my harddisk Greetings, Chris
  19. The created installer works like that: execution of setup.exe: 1. collecting [appname].application 2. collecting subdir [appname] 3. install [appname] 4. executing [appname] It's a little bit crappy isn't? My new project 2ize should'nt be only available/ installable via my website! Is there an official or additional tool i can use doing this?
  20. This is about the future patcher of Windows 2000. Unlike Vistapack or cX2K, it will a new base for! Yes, new base of cX2K, but will not use the new - see The official ...ize x64 topic - xn-resourcehacker - it stays with reshacker as old(er) XPize... You make think - is this concurrent of XPize? absolutely not! 2ize transforms XPize concept backwards to Windows 2000 like Vize does that to Vista First release i want to develop (not only) together with damian666. I begin to develop this at weekend of 29./ 30. September 2007! Earliest alpha is absolutely useless to ask. I will ask for some core testers when neeeded! But you can do an application as a tester to me, write a PM. I will inform if the fun will begin! One thingy is absolutely clear: It will be not based on .NET 2.0. Coding is in Delphi as a native Win32 application that runs the reshacker.exe scripts. As i'm a good Delphi coder thinking the development will be faster as i would do in other language or with .NET!
  21. What do you think about that: 1. resize data partition 2. create p. for Win2K and WinPE 3. prepare like in sticked topic (dual boot with xp) 4. now having C | D (as older, Data) | H (Win2K) | I (the PE) | E (2. HDD, Media) | F G the DVD removable(s) , floppy is disabled cause of hw-error ???
  22. I want to add my old rock solid Windows 2000 to my C Partition. C is 37 GB in size and more then 10 GB are free. Hint: As i use regularly nLite, i would prepare the install source, e.g. changing directories for not screwing special Vista folders... EDIT: Just read the sticky topic... But what attention maybe also needed?
  23. Hello damian! Want you a mirror for this project (on site of the other thread)? You may know how you can do upload Mail me when done - then i place the link! Chris
  24. Visit Project CKX2K and find Information and Downloads-Directory. Why old cX2K is abadonded? New Project CKX2K makes it all right! These are OLD threads they're belong to it's predecators: || Royale | Modification of Windows 2000, cX2K and XPize4Win2k, huge pack and slim predecator * In XPize forum; don't post actually there. Available: Sources of my both packs, cX2K and XPize4Win2k, made for free! * Also in XPize forum, download links from that posting are broken. [RX2K] Advanced Shellpackage - Windows 2000 like Windows XP, XPize Source based, with special feature additions in future * First related topic in this board [Release] XPize4Win2K 1.0.0 , stable: Windows 2000 to future, Simple XIS based patching of Windows 2000 files * Early thread XPizing Win2K fro me in forum XPize In development they were in spring of 1997. There will be used a new technology for the modification based on my own Project 2IZE creating the new Windows 2000 Shell package.
  25. Hello you both As i would be very interested in a solution for my new x64 system i have a little backwards question: What will happen with the XPize development in future, meaning which version of .NET will be used in newer versions? For creating patchers also for Windows 2000 (as damian666 Vistapack or my cX2K/ XPize4Win2K (XIS)) i hope not higher then .NET 2! Hopefully, Chris
