Hello folks! As i wrote also @WPC, i have TClock3 issues with Vistapack (Don't using WinXP anymore ). That tool refuses to load correctly. Okay my Windows 2000 is an installation for development so it's better to not install that tool... I never want miss Vistapack because without that Windows is sooo boring!

Do you have the rights at that point of install to write into HKLM. Or, err do you try into HKCU in very early stage? Where is the .reg information filed in the registry wenn the newest Winzip is installed? Also important is: It may check also the directories pointed by %userprofile% or %appdata% Please tell us also which Windows you use. Hint: I use WinRAR and 7Zip (no need for the tool you use)

Neo, if i merged the both disks with nlite into one DVD-RW, no chance using that with SP3 (nLite feature of slipstream)? BTW I'm just before selling my MCE, but would help my friend (the new user) with it (decision of him no clear yet...!

This Posting points out the actual status of the ckWin Interfacer. Thread had a poll which results are in posting #5 Tell me your ideas, thinking or meanings! Answer below in this thread which is not reserved for me alone ckWin Interfacer goal is to get a new look to your Windows. Change Windows from the IDE which can be loaded as shell but can also used as scripting engine for your Windows (then your normal User interface is shown) or just modify without loading resident. Initializing extences (at runtime) the system menu of every window of your Windows. (See Posting #3). The ckWin core dynamic link library for configuring and scripting Windows is normally loaded and configurably and holds all internal functionality. You can decide to enable or hide or just modify with terminating ckWin interfacer. As i use Windows xpMCE native this topic here can't adress my goals... BUT one question (a bit offtopic due to be asked in neighbour forum): How does work Vista with MUI (e.g. my UltimateDEU + LP_ENU)?

The installers TGUP creates via 'tgup /oi:"C:\Installer" are different! Every installer shows (at moment) a CLI window where is printed "Installing <installpackage>...". Then either a few later it prints a new line with only "... finished!" (then the installer ran "hidden") or a graphical interface which is fully automatized and then that line. In both cases if the installpackage includes a standalone application an icon should appear in the startmenu. Otherwise, as an extension it should appear in that application which it extends. That will hopefully happen if no error occurs! As TGUP supports not only XP also 2k and Vista but there might be some glitches... Create a install.ini where you disable what doesn't installs - test in a virtual machine!

I you use TGUP with "/oi" it prepares unattended offline installers for each application! As the project author wrote in his thread @german-nlite.de what this folder structure contains is usable via GuiRunOnce!

Yes, this tool integrates creating an installation directory with all your desired applications in, from where you can then install without having an internet connection. These installers are (then) unattended! Of course you need to be online to create that dir.

How can i avoid that the SP3 makes my MCE2005 to MCE2004 ? Or what is this? Version downgrade of MCE if slipstream is not my goal!

I used the way via WindowsUpdate to insert the RC v3311 into my MCE2005. Actually it goes... I may write a bit in the Beta subforum (or the xpMCE neighbourhood) about my experiences First it seems some debug code may cause that the system is a bit slower

FAT32 makes sense for partitions/ drives lower than 40 GB. The more smaller then e.g. 10 GB or even < 4 GB Partition you have to use it!

I've solved the problem now. I did it like following: 1. Booting Vista DVD helding the key CTRL continously 2. In graphics Mode the simply PE appeared... 3. Switched to the drive letter (F:) where the DVD is in 4. Copied the file bootmgr to C:\ where XP resides 5. Chdir to F:\BOOT and applied bootsect /nt60 ALL Now i've an english bootmenu with german Windows but i can live with that BTW my Vista is residing in the D - Partition since before last XP installation what was needed but the reason for this problem

Hello, I can't boot into my Vista yet... C:\BOOT exists, and EasyBCD in my xpMCE can read/ write to there correctly but not the ntldr6... How can i create a Vista compatble loader into the C-Partition? I can use the Vista DVD's PE and the one of my OPK... Which commands are needed? Chris

Hmm... Normaly XPize is correct in detection of Windows and its directories... Boot Vista and have a close look to: - XPize Reloader at Windows boot: open XP registry from \WINXP\System32\config\system to HKLM\XP, maybe you can disable then the corresponding regentry, don't forget to shutdown the hive before closing regedit! As in my current Windows i have no XPize installation i doesnt can prove which the regkey for logon changing is...

oidicle: I just saw you use Vista... I hope you don't tried XPize with it, that have to fail!
