heres a curious question does anybody know if by removing outlook from your unattended,,, will that hinder the ability to instal microsoft office ?

heres the answer to your question, but im sure this post is in the wrong section and this topic has been covered many of times first one is my documents second should be my networks third should be my computer if you want the order of my computer first also use hope that helps but pls try to use the search function and also this is definatly covered in the tweaks section

btw i misunderstood your question let me verify,,, i didnt use the office shrink, nor any methods to shrink my office source,,, thats why this situation is strange to me,, any other ideals any one heres the kicker tho,, i can instal it straight to my pc with the command prompt useing the line setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- and it installs perfectly,, but seems to instal most of the way and uninstal inside of my unattended and im using the wpi method

yea i used nlite to shrink my source alittle but do you really think thats the prob ? i didnt take anything major out just outlook, windows messenger,msn explorer netmeeting, tours and stuff like that

hi i was working on silently installing microsoft office xp, my method was the same method used in the unattended guide like this setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- and i came into a strange problem that im not really sure why its happening,, well when the instal gets to this program, everything starts to instal just fine, no errors, no prompts but as i watched it instal further, it almost completes,,, then the progress blocks start to go backwards and uninstals it.. does any one have any ideals on what made this happen the way that it did,,

yeah i got about 35-40 apps my self and im around 1.5 to 2 gigs hehehe but im on dvd so space wont matter much for me but when i used to use cdr's i had mine about maxed with 30 or so apps pushing every bit of 698 and that was trimmed down with lang files and other stuff that can come out well with just my base instal and regular stuff i would use every day id say about 500 mbs

im running firefox but when ie7 comes around ill definatly have a test run but for now i feel the best way is firefox

ok ive got the flip book working now but strange enough i havnt the slightest ideal how lol but oh well its working thanks anyways to any body who read this

so far ive tried copying, the files autoexec.nt and config.nt from the repare folder and pasted them in system32 folder now i get a new error saying illegal command or some thing then it askes me to cancel or ignore,, but still no luck im hoping i wont have to be forced to reset my pc a head of schedule im still working on my latest unattended disk..

man i dunno what the problem is ive even tried running the apps in compatability mode with 98,, to my understanding xp is supposed to run any 16bit app you throw its way,,

hi, ive been experiencing this problem for some time now, with trying to instal some program that are supposed to run on xp, but when i try to run or instal some of them i get 16bit, not suitable blaa blaa, then it wont let me go any further,, ive attached a pic as my example,, can any one give me more information about this and if there is a way to get these programs to run on my pc,, like i said ive had this problem for a while and every time it happens i usually just let it go and forget it, but im bored now and i got nothing to do so i thought furthering my education on this subject would help me pass the time by.. so can some body pls help me on this,, thanks

ok i got a request what about a timer to force an instal of all the defaults if the selections arent made with in a specific amount of time alloted

this is a nice app, great works, i dont have any suggestions at this time but keep up the good work

ahh n/m simon i figured it out, i put it on allow most mode and that seemed to let me use the program and yes it pops up only once just like you mentioned,, but i still couldnt find the same words so maybe its a different mode i set it on,, but hehe it works,,, thanks now im gonna test this thing out again and see how mny secuty threats in the ports it has with this new mode
